社会公德、职业道德、家庭美德、个人品德是道德在不同生活领域应用的具体化,是道德这个"共名"在不同生活领域的"别名"。它们彼此之间不仅在形式上有着相似乃至相同的德目,而且社会生活、职业生活、家庭生活和个人生活本质上都是人的生活的共同组成部分。因此,社会公德、职业道德、家庭美德、个人品德就有着理论上和实践中互通的可能性。现代公民培育的核心在发展公民的道德品质,以个人品德为逻辑起点,以家庭美德为价值始点,以职业道德为历史过渡,以社会公德为现实指向。 相似文献

Every person in the physical education disciplines must become an advocate for social justice. This entails realistic self-examination, awareness of unearned privilege, and an open-hearted willingness to grasp the myriad cultural influences upon human communication, construction of knowledge, identity, and valuing. Rejection of a system in which a few can impose their wills upon all others, knowingly or not, is a radical act that can facilitate comprehension of the strengths that lie in people's differences, as well as in their similarities. This paper addresses the changing role of engineers in industry and society with specific reference to the increasing environmental pressures on industry. Sustainable development, as discussed widely since the Brundtland Report in 1987, provides a broad framework for environmental activities in industry. The intended move—worldwide—towards sustainable development involves engineering in the key role of designing and managing ‘Clean Technology’, i.e. of technological systems which are less harmful, more efficient and socially as well as environmentally acceptable. The paper examines the extent to which professional engineers can work and achieve sustainable development within their professional roles and considers their roles and responsibilities involved in such a move. Special emphasis is given to the role of creativity, ethics and the demand for professionalism in the changing roles of engineers. The examination of the ethical and professional issues identified is used together with the observed changes in industrial systems and engineering roles to determine new educational needs of those engineers driving future developments in industry. 相似文献

In the last 50 years, several new technologies have become enormously important within the Deaf community and have helped significantly to improve deaf people's lives in a hearing world. Current public attention and admiration, however, seems unduly focused on medical technologies that promise to solve "the problem" of being deaf. One reason for this interest, we argue, is the public's preoccupation with deafness as a disability and promises that technological breakthroughs such as the cochlear implant will "cure" deafness. Pressure on parents to make quick and early decisions and lack of adequate information about alternatives often leave them unprepared for the consequences of these decisions. To allow deaf individuals and their families to make better informed decisions about their lives and their futures, we argue finally that professionals who interact with these families adopt inclusive and individualizing ethics. 相似文献

A growing number of commentators and policy makers have recognised that in recent years there have been increasing signs of social dislocation and social disharmony within British society. These observations have considerable consequences for education and have been, in part, responsible for a revivification of an Aristotelian ethics of community and practicality. Additionally the topic is progressively engaging the attention of social philosophers such as Alasdair MacIntyre and Paul Ricoeur. It is in these terms that this paper advocates the importance of the concept of narrative for an understanding of the importance of selves within the educational sphere. It is argued that a possible way of 'contacting' disaffected pupils and young persons may be not so much through the established curriculum but rather by the encouragement of a mode of respect for others consequent upon the contemplation of biographies or lives close to them. It is not the intention of this paper to particularise a programme of curriculum implementation, but it is hoped that it may provide a place for discussion from which such initiatives may emerge. 相似文献
