Arecent study by Chinese astronomers suggests that the weird behavior of a gamma-ray burst .（GRB） detected in 2006 might have beencaused by an intermediate mass black hole （IMBH） gulping a star, rather than a massive star collapsing to form a black hole. This provides an alternative model to explain the origin of some long GRBs and has fueled the flaming controversy over the source of such intense electromagnetic radiations from extremely distant universe, which has long been the biggest mystery in high-energy astronomy. 相似文献

Genetically modified （GM） technology is an ＂inevitable result of the rapid development of modern science and technology. With broadapplication prospects in fields such as medicine, industry, agriculture, environmental protection, energy and new materials, it will certainly provide new development space for human society. However, as with other high technologies, its nonstandard R＆D activities and misuse might raise safety risks. For this reason, the Presidium of Academic Divisions of the Chinese Academy of Sciences （CASAD） calls on practitioners of GM technology research and development （including basic and applied research, and product development）, and those involved in the research and development of safety monitoring, evaluation, and detecting techniques to retain a high sense of responsibility and to widely promote professional ethics, conduct research properly, fulfill social responsibility, facilitate public communication and support the sound development of GM technology. 相似文献

Then, he started his research career at the CAS Institute of Modern Physics （IMP）. Research has identified numerous factors that influence initial technology adoption decisions. However, extant studies consider beliefs to be static rather than dynamic over the adoption time-span. Various models have been employed to identify adoption behavior, pre- and post-adoption, however, there is little research on the dynamics of users’ belief structures over time and the inter-relationships among them. This study aims to investigate the dynamic nature of users’ beliefs and the relationships among their dynamics, i.e., rates of change. We test our research model based on data obtained at three time-windows using a parallel-growth process model. The results reveal that self-efficacy, usefulness and intention to use are likely to be dynamic, and increase with time. The rate of change in self-efficacy influences the rate of change in usefulness, which in turn affects the rate of change in intention to use. This study theoretically contributes to expanding the extant cross-sectional TAM research to include time-phased TAM studies, and highlights the role of self-efficacy as an important determinant of the dynamics. 相似文献

The technology acceptance model (TAM) has proven to be one of the most powerful theories to explain user's technology adoption. Among many external variables incorporated into TAM, trust is considered to be an important factor that influences the user's online behavior, especially in the e-commerce context. This study conducts a meta-analysis based on the previous TAM studies in an attempt to make well-grounded statements on the role of trust. Furthermore, the paper examines those TAM studies by considering moderating effects of subject type (students or non-students) and context type (commercial or non-commercial). Results indicate a significant influence of trust on TAM constructs. Moderating effects are found for most pair-wise relationships. The findings yield implications for both researchers and service providers. 相似文献
