This study was conducted to investigate whether the use of videotape recordings is an effective method of teacher education prior to full‐time teaching practice. Two groups of students were used for the study. The first group was allowed to practice their classroom skills through micro‐teaching with the aid of video recording equipment. The second group also practised their skills through micro‐teaching but without the aid of video recording equipment. At the end of the study it was discovered that the group which used the video recording equipment had made more significant progress in the mastery of the specified teaching skills  相似文献

目的:探讨在妇产科临床实习教学中运用循证医学(EBM)教学方法的效果。方法:将在我院妇产科实习的助产班学生160人,按随机分配方法分为两组,观察组80名,采用循证医学教学法带教;对照组80名,采用传统教学方法带教。教学周期为8周,通过理论笔试、病案分析口试及临床技能操作考试及教学满意度调查进行对比。结果:观察组学生的理论笔试、病案分析口试及临床技能操作考试及教学满意度均明显高于对照组(P<0.05)。结论:在妇产科开展循证医学教学,有利于提高学生们的理论和实践能力,值得推广。  相似文献

Teaching BSW and MSW students beginning interviewing and relationship-building skills is essential in order to prepare them for practice with clients. In social work methods courses, role plays are commonly-used instructional strategies for helping foundation-level students acquire these initial practice skills. Despite the popularity of this teaching method, the social work literature contains limited studies on the use of role play. In this study, 2 role-play methods are compared, a traditional one in which social work students act out the role of client and social worker and a nontraditional one where the only difference was that theater students role-played the client. Findings revealed that social work students perceived the nontraditional role play as providing a more realistic experience that more closely approximates actual work with clients. Many unanticipated benefits for both sets of students surfaced as a result of this research. Implications for ways to improve this pedagogical tool are discussed along with suggestions for further evaluating role-play methods.  相似文献

Teaching macro practice can be challenging. While students have some concepts of what macro practice entails, their knowledge may be limited and sometimes inaccurate. Moreover, students may be reluctant to engage in macro change efforts. Given the scarcity of literature regarding teaching macro practice and the growing importance of it in social work, this article addresses major issues that we encountered in teaching macro practice at a large Midwestern school of social work. In our institution only 6% of students are enrolled in macro concentrations and we wish to encourage students to expand their interests in macro practice even if they do not wish to pursue a macro concentration. We describe a macro practice course we designed to meet the challenges of teaching community, organization, and policy practice skills to master's level and advanced undergraduate students. Our goal is to expand the macro practice pedagogy literature and encourage social work faculty to consider both established and innovative ways of introducing the planned change process in community, organization, and policy practice to their students.  相似文献

College teachers in the sciences and professional studies have endorsed collaborative learning group strategies for teaching undergraduate statistics courses, but few researchers provide empirical evidence that students’ quantitative skills actually increase as a result of the collaborative experience. Assessment of the efficacy of collaborative learning group techniques is frequently subjectively based, and often relies on casual comments from students or faculty. Despite this shortcoming, instructors searching for new and effective ways of teaching quantitative courses continue to experiment with collaborative pedagogy. Consequently, an exploration of the effectiveness of collaborative teaching modalities on students’ statistical knowledge seems warranted. This study examined the relationship between performance on collaborative learning group assignments and students’ examination scores in statistics. Data were derived from 270 students enrolled in nine sections of a social statistics course, taught between 1996 and 2004. The results both challenge and support the efficacy of collaborative learning groups, and suggest that faculty modify such techniques when evidence of student learning cannot be empirically linked to the collaborative experience.  相似文献

Abstract

Within the social work profession, one's world view, one's beliefs and values based on one's experiences, strongly influences one's practice and comfort with groups.

This paper will examine some of the different ways of viewing the world held by practitioners and students in relation to the likelihood that they will be able to work effectively with groups. Such examination, and the identification of the differences among social workers that results from it has implications for both teaching and supervision in social work. These implications will be discussed and specific principles and techniques for teaching social workers, in education and in supervision, based on their world views will be described. This paper aims to enrich education for group work so that the community of social group work practitioners can grow and continue to thrive.  相似文献

本文针对本专业实践教学中存在的问题,对校内实践教学体系采取了相应的改革措施。改革独立实验课的运行方式和管理方法;建设校内实习基地,利用校内实验设施建成校内小型环境监测站和水处理站,模拟实际操作岗位对学生进行职业技能培训,与校外实习基地形成互补。通过三门独立实验课对基本操作能力的培训和实习基地的顶岗培训,分阶段、循序渐进地完成了学生的职业技能培训。  相似文献

目的:为了探讨学生标准化病人(SSP)在内分泌科实习岗前培训中效果,寻找一种更有效的临床医学生岗前培训的教学模式,提高医学生的基本学习技能和实习效果。方法:选我院临床医学系本科2012年至2013年至内分泌科进行实习前岗前培训的学生共450人为研究对象,确定其中50人作为学生标准化病人,其余400人随机分为对照组和实验组,每组各200人。其中研究组采用SSP模式进行岗前培训与考核,对照组采用常规的通过对岗前培训学生标准化病人开展内分泌科临床教学进行分析与总结,将其教师为主的传统教学模式进行岗前培训与考核。结果:无论是SSP还是教师评分都显示:实验组的系统问诊、全身查体、病情诊断、病例分析、医患沟通成绩明显比对照组得分更高(P<0.05),而在病例书写方面,两组没有显著区别(P>0.05)。结论:基于SSP的教学模式,可以显著提高内分泌科岗前培训学生的临床问诊、体检、病情诊断分析等临床基本技能和与患者的沟通能力,不失为一种良好的岗前培训的教学模式,值得进一步推广。  相似文献
