通过对《中国文献编目规则》和《资源描述与检索》(RDA)的一般文献类型标识、资源类型与数量项、载体形态项、附注、标准编号5个方面的对比分析发现,RDA关于数字资源著录的条款更多,规定更具体,内容更丰富,体现出RDA不仅适用于传统类型文献的著录,更能适用于电子资源这一文献类型的著录。RDA取代AACR2是大势所趋,《中国文献编目规则》也应顺应文献资源种类和格式变化的要求,适时作出修改,以满足数字时代和网络时代的需求。 相似文献

文章针对地图资源,对RDA及《中国文献编目规则》的相应条款进行细致的对比分析,意在了解《中国文献编目规则》对RDA的适应性.对比主要针对地图资源的特有元素比例尺、坐标和投影,以及比较复杂的数量与尺寸,也论及RDA中与地图有关的题名、责任者及版式等其他部分.对比结果表明,《中国文献编目规则》与RDA存在差异,但并不严重,中文地图资源应用RDA是可行的. 相似文献

Abstract With a total floor space of 83,000 square meters, the new Shanghai Library, which opened on 20 December 1996, is among the top ten largest libraries in the world. The library was perhaps the first in China to implement international standards. In the early 1980s the Shanghai Library began cataloguing foreign books and periodicals following Western practices. In 1980, the library compiled a draft set of cataloguing rules for foreign serials based on ISBD(S). The library and the Library Society of Shanghai then organised a number of training classes for serials librarians from all over the country. Earlier, in December 1979, the Sixth Subcommittee of the National Document Standardisation Committee had begun compiling a set of cataloguing rules for serials. A draft based on ISBD(S), written by staff of the library, was put forward to the Fuzhou (city) Meeting in March 1983. After several discussions and revisions the National Standard Bureau finally approved the rules (GB 3792.3-85). In order to further the stardardisation of serials management, the Shanghai Library has issued its catalogue cards for serials to other libraries and information units. The catalogue cards have been widely distributed to the Chinese library community. Because of these developments, the library has become a de facto centre of serials research in the country. 相似文献

在编目规则国际化的趋势下,统一编目著录规则已经成为国内编目界的当务之急。目前,CALIS和中国国家图书馆两家中心馆的编目著录规则存在一些不同,一些有识之士已经对此提出己见,但却遗漏了丛编项著录的差异。尤其是当丛编项作为重要的著录项时,它选取、使用的字段及著录的信息等方面的差异更为严重,给书目数据检索、共建共享带来了不便。因此,CALIS和国家图书馆应该统一思想,争取早日制订出统一的编目规则。 相似文献

This article examines the writing of Thomas Mann, Reference Librarian at the Library of Congress, regarding the enduring value of traditional methods and tools of research libraries, particularly online public catalogs, professional cataloging, and Library of Congress Subject Headings and pre-coordinated subject strings. One major contention asserted by Mann is that keyword searching on the Internet, while very valuable when used judiciously, should not be used as a substitute for traditional catalogs and cataloging. 俄文连续出版物联机编目规则在我国尚没有统一的标准,只有少数图书馆按照自定规则实现了俄文连续出版物的计算机管理。黑龙江大学图书馆在俄文图书联机编目实践成功后,又对俄文连续出版物联机编目工作进行了探索。针对著录内容的简化以及编号项和附注项、受控检索点、统一题名的著录等方面出现的普遍问题以及特殊出版物、连续出版物的出版变化和分类等方面的特殊问题,图书馆应统一俄文连续出版物数据库建设标准,进行俄文连续出版物编目工作的培训,指定专人定期维护已建成的数据库并做好编目人员队伍梯队建设。 相似文献

The purpose of this study was to determine the amount of correlation between National Library of Medicine classification numbers and MeSH headings in a body of cataloging which had already been done and then to find out which of two alternative methods of utilizing the correlation would be best.There was a correlation of 44.5% between classification numbers and subject headings in the data base studied, cataloging data covering 8,137 books. The results indicate that a subject heading index showing classification numbers would be the preferred method of utilization, because it would be more accurate than the alternative considered, an arrangement by classification numbers which would be consulted to obtain subject headings. 相似文献
