This review examines Psychology and the Study of Education: Critical Perspectives on Developing Theories, a collection of academic articles edited by Cathal Ó Siochrú. The collection comprehensively considers wide-ranging topics pertinent to the psychology of education, with a target audience of educators and students wishing to learn more about psychology. The review evaluates the collection as an integrated work of entries and analyses each component chapter; recognising the success of the collection with respect to its aim of challenging readers to critically reflect upon and consider the value of psychology in both understanding and influencing education. The book transcends the common formula of academic article collections in this area by being presented in a somewhat conversational manner, making it both interesting and accessible. 从"九天"说看扬雄"文必艰深"论

“九天”说是扬雄以玄为本的哲学思想的重要组成部分,它对扬雄哲学思想乃至文学思想的形成在整体上起着指导性的作用;而“文必艰深”论则是扬雄重要的文学思想之一,自宋人苏轼对之作了严厉的批评之后,历代批评家大都对它持一种否定的态度。但很少有人从扬雄思想的整体特征出发对之作认真的分析,更没有人把“九天”说与“文必艰深”论联系起来加以考察。笔者认为扬雄“文必艰深”论本是建立在“九天”说的基础上,并与尚文的时代审美追求相一致,故在理论上有一定的合理性,而并非一无是处,以往学者们对它的全面否定是不尽科学的。  相似文献   

校阅在CAT与FIT中对受测者行为表现与状态焦虑水平的影响

校阅(review)对CAT中受测者心理影响的研究有利于CAT的推广应用。J.Oleat等研究者在CAT(computerizedadaptivetest,计算机自适应性测验)与FIT(fixed-itemtest,固定项目测验)中,将校阅(review)对受测者行为表现与状态焦虑水平的影响作了比较研究。实验结果表明,在允许校阅的环境中,受测者正确反应与被估计的能力水平显著增加,并且状态焦虑水平下降。本文对J.Oleat等研究者的主要研究成果进行了详细的评述,并进一步探讨了在CAT中增设校阅(review)环境的重要性和可能性。  相似文献

An empirical review of anonymity effects in peer assessment,peer feedback,peer review,peer evaluation and peer grading

Abstract

Peer assessment has proven to have positive learning outcomes. Importantly, peer assessment is a social process and some claim that the use of anonymity might have advantages. However, the findings have not always been in the same direction. Our aims were: (a) to review the effects of using anonymity in peer assessment on performance, peer feedback content, peer grading accuracy, social effects and students’ perspective on peer assessment; and (b) to investigate the effects of four moderating variables (educational level, peer grading, assessment aids, direction of anonymity) in relation to anonymity. A literature search was conducted including five different terms related to peer assessment (e.g., peer feedback) and anonymity. Fourteen studies that used a control group or a within group design were found. The narrative review revealed that anonymous peer assessment seems to provide advantages for students’ perceptions about the learning value of peer assessment, delivering more critical peer feedback, increased self-perceived social effects, a slight tendency for more performance, especially in higher education and with less peer assessment aids. Some conclusions are that: (a) when implementing anonymity in peer assessment the instructional context and goals need to be considered, (b) existent empirical research is still limited, and (c) future research should employ stronger and more complex research designs.  相似文献

Anti-racist moral education: A review of approaches,impact and theoretical underpinnings from 2000 to 2015

Racism is a moral issue and of concern for moral educators, with recent social movements such as #BlackLivesMatter highlighting how far we are from obliterating racial oppression and the unearned privilege whiteness confers. To contribute to a more formalised approach to anti-racist moral education, this article systematically reviews 15 years of peer-reviewed scholarship concerned with anti-racist education, to establish the definitions and aims of anti-racist education drawn on, the theoretical frameworks underpinning these, the methods used in education efforts, and their intended impact. It also considers the geo-political aspects of knowledge production in the field, such as author country location and implementation context of empirical studies. It concludes with implications for moral education in classroom and community contexts and advocates for anti-racist moral education that comprise three interconnected components—making visible systemic oppression (visibilising), recognising personal complicity in oppression through unearned privilege (recognising) and developing strategies to transform structural inequalities (strategising).  相似文献
