Cadaver dissection stands as a crucial component in medical curricula around the world, although computer‐based multimedia programs have been introduced in order to replace the need for cadaver donations. Due to a decrease in the number of unclaimed bodies and rather few donations, there is an insufficient number of cadavers for anatomical studies in Iran. This study was carried out to evaluate medical students' awareness and willingness regarding body donation in Kashan University of Medical Sciences, Iran. In this study, a questionnaire was designed to focus on the cultural acceptability and personal willingness to donate one's body after death. Students from the university's anatomy classes (n = 331) participated in this study. Seventy‐seven percent of the students expressed their agreement toward the idea of utilizing body donation services, though only 25.4% of participants were willing to donate their own bodies. None of the demographic factors were associated with cultural acceptability or personal willingness towards body donation. These findings indicated that besides “payment”, other factors were associated with students' willingness to become donors. All factors of awareness except “previous awareness of organization” were associated with cultural acceptability. In this study, students suggested that encouraging people to register for body donation using mass media (25.6%) and teaching students to respect cadavers in the dissection environment (24.8%) were the best solutions for addressing the lack of cadavers. These findings indicated that a lack of awareness about body donation might be the main factor responsible for unwillingness towards body donation; therefore, improving the public's awareness and addressing the willingness of students regarding body donation may help overcome the current lack of donated cadavers. Blended learning (BL) is a popular e-Learning model in higher education that has the potential to take advantage of learning analytics (LA) to support student learning. This study utilized LA to investigate fourth-year undergraduates' (n = 157) use of self-regulated learning (SRL) within the online components of a previously unexamined BL discipline, Music Teacher Education. SRL behaviors were captured unobtrusively in real time through students' interaction with course materials in Moodle. Categorized by function: (1) activating—online access location, day-of-the-week, time-of-day; (2) sustaining—online frequency; and (3) structuring—online regularity and exam review patterns, all six SRL behaviors were revealed to have weak to moderate significant relationships with academic achievement. Results indicated access day-of-the-week and access frequency as the strongest predictors for student success. Findings regarding access regularity when viewed through results from previous SRL-LA research may suggest the importance of this SRL behavior for successful students within several BL discipline areas. In addition, the role of learning design (eg, flipped instruction) in potentially scaffolding students' choices toward specific SRL behaviors, was revealed as an important context for future researchers' consideration.  相似文献

Vanadium oxides condensed films are prepared on glass substrates, using spray pyrolysis (SP) technique. The effects of substrate temperature, vanadium concentra- tion in initial solution and the solution spray rate on the nano-structural, electrical, and optical properties of depos- ited films were investigated. Characterizations of the sam- ples were performed using X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and UV-Vis spec- troscopy methods. The type and concentration of the charge carriers were determined and measured by Hall effect experiment. XRD patterns showed that the prepared films had polycrystalline structure, mostly tetragonal fl-V205 and V409 phases with the preferred orientation along (200) direction. The Hall effect experiment revealed that all samples were n-type, except the ones deposited at substrate temperatures Tsub : 300 ~C and Tsub = 450 ~C, vanadium concentration 0.1 mol/L and solution spray rate 10 mL/min. The charge carrier concentrations obtained were in the range 1016-1018 cm-3. The lowest sheet resistance (R~) was obtained for the samples prepared at T~ub = 450 ~C, vana- dium concentration 0.05 mol/L and solution spray rate 10 mL/min. It was also found that the optical transparency of the samples changed from 20% to 75% and the optical bandgap of the samples was from 2.22 eV to 2.58 eV, depending on the deposition conditions.  相似文献

In this study, the hot backward extrusion of Ti–6Al–4V alloy is considered by finite element analysis and experiments. The effects of reduction and initial billet temperature on the force required for extrusion, on the maximum strain produced and on the formation of surface cracks are discussed. The simulation results show that the increase of temperature at high reduction is considerable and that can be reached 150 °C in the billet and punch interface. Moreover, the maximum strain is predicted at the interface of billet and punch. The study shows that the temperature rise and plastic deformation may induce surface cracks.  相似文献

Supplier selection is a complex multi-criteria problem including both quantitative and qualitative factors. In order to select the best suppliers it is necessary to make a trade-off between these factors, some of which may be in conflict and may also be uncertain. In this problem if suppliers have capacity or other different constraints, two problems will exist: which suppliers are best and how much should be purchased from each selected supplier.In this paper an integrated approach of multi-attribute utility theory (MAUT) and linear programming (LP) is proposed for rating and choosing the best suppliers and defining the optimum order quantities among selected ones in order to maximize total additive utility. A numerical example is proposed to illustrate an application of the proposed method.  相似文献

Influence and capital are two concepts used to evaluate scholarly outputs, and these can be measured using the Scholarly Capital Model as a modelling tool. The tool looks at the concepts of connectedness, venue representation, and ideational influence using centrality measures within a social network. This research used co‐authorships and h‐indices to investigate authors who have published papers in the field of information behaviour between 1980 and 2015 as extracted from Web of Science. The findings show a relationship between the authors’ connectedness and the venue (journal) representation. It could be seen that the venue (journal) influences the chance of citation, and equally, the prestige (centrality) of authors probably raises the citations of the journals. The research also shows a significant positive relationship between the venue representation and ideational influence. This means that a research work that is published in a highly cited journal will find more visibility and will receive more citations.  相似文献
