美国密歇根州立大学施密特教授等人研究开发并完善的TIMSS"主题追踪图"作为重要的整体性课程分析工具,其使用的建模方法有效弥补了传统研究方法的不足。本文通过检索"主题追踪图"的演变轨迹,认为基于该工具的国际课程比较能全面反映各国课程在主题选择与组织层面的异同,而构建的课程连贯性理想模型更是提供了一种全新的课程内容研究思路与范式。  相似文献

本文以一具体的高校动态网站的规划与建设为例,运用ASP编程技术和Microsoft Access2003数据库技术,以Windows 2000 Server or windows 2000 Advanced Server为运行平台,介绍了高校动态网站在日常管理工作中所发挥的巨大作用。包括学院信息自动发布系统,院系管理系统,学生成绩管理系统,电子公告板系统,用户注册模块,用户调查系统。本文针对当前多数高校的校园网建设,提出了加强"动态交互能力"以提高网站的应用效率的新思路。  相似文献

全文数字化是信息资源建设的方向,研究型资源的全文化检索尤其重要.计算器现有系统能处理的汉字,对于中文古籍、辞书、人名地名系统、报刊出版远不够用.几年前,国际标准ISO/IEC 106462003(即Unicode 4.0)编码汉字字符集已经拥有7万余汉字,但其中有4万2千多个汉字是4字节编码,在应用领域的处理方面有一定难度.文章介绍中易公司处理4字节编码汉字的技术成果,并结合在古籍数字化项目中的实际应用,着重说明用自行开发的7万汉字的应用系统,支持数字化工程和全文检索发布的技术特点,强调超大字符集、XML开放数据等标准技术的应用等.通过实践,总结出一套基于支持超大字符集4字节编码汉字的数字化的应用技术,以及信息全文检索发布的可行方法,解决了古籍和文献的数字化工程中的技术难点.  相似文献

昆虫种类繁多,数量巨大,给昆虫实验室的标本管理工作带来了很大的不便。为了提高管理水平,保护实物标本,需对昆虫标本进行数字化管理。通过数码相机、摄像头、扫描仪、互联网等手段获取图片,利用Vistual Basic 6.0开发工具和Access 2003数据库软件建立昆虫标本图片库系统。该系统不但具有输入图片、浏览图片、查找图片的功能,还能调用数码相机、摄像头、扫描仪,能够从这些数码设备中获取图片,可以导入到图片库中。该系统既可用于科研,又可用于教学,既方便了科研人员查找相关标本图片,又满足了教师在上课时演示昆虫标本,具有广阔的应用前景。  相似文献

Since the controversial finding of the Coleman Report (1966), which was that school resources had little effect on educational outcomes comparing to family background, huge literature has emerged in order to verify the above finding in countries other than the United States. The Heyneman–Loxley work (1983) presented for the first time clear evidence that variation in school resource quality could matter more than variation in family inputs in low and middle income countries. Following this literature, and using TIMSS 2007 data, we attempt in this study to revisit the Heyneman–Loxley hypothesis and the related debate regarding the overall importance of schools in explaining variations in student achievement across Middle East and North African countries. Survey Jackknife regression technique and quantile regressions have been used for the purpose of this study. Our results are in line with those of Baker et al. (2002) showing that the Heyneman–Loxley effect had declined over time.  相似文献

Student ratings are widely used to assess teaching quality in primary and secondary education. This necessitates a thorough examination their validity and reliability in such contexts. To this end, we present validity evidence for using student ratings of teaching quality based on their factorial structure, comparability across grades and subjects, and relation to achievement. Based on data from the 2019 Trends in Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS) and its national extensions in Norway (N = 3951 5th graders and N = 4575 9th graders), we could confirm a theoretically assumed three-dimensional factor structure (i.e., classroom management, cognitive activation, and supportive climate). Moreover, classroom management and supportive climate were more comparable across grades and subjects then cognitive activation. Finally, classroom management was associated with achievement across all groups, whereas other dimensions showed mixed results, especially across grades. Overall, the findings indicate that students, especially in Grade 9, can provide a valid assessment of teaching quality.  相似文献

Policies about reducing class size have been implemented in the US and Europe in the past decades. Only a few studies have discussed the effects of class size at different levels of student achievement, and their findings have been mixed. We employ quantile regression analysis, coupled with instrumental variables, to examine the causal effects of class size on 4th-grade mathematics achievement at various quantiles. We use data from 14 European countries from the 2011 sample of the Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS). Overall, there are no systematic patterns of class-size effects across quantiles. Class-size effects are generally non-significant and uniform at different achievement levels, which suggests that in most European countries class-size reduction does not have an impact on student achievement and does not close the achievement gap. However, combined estimates across countries indicate that high achievers may benefit more from class-size reduction.  相似文献

This paper reports on a longitudinal study that examines how a national reform introduced in England in the field of adult literacy, language, and numeracy is affecting teachers. The paper focuses on the use of a mixed methodology to explore teachers' attitudes to the reform and how these change over time. The quantitative strand includes the construction and use of a Likert-type instrument for measuring the attitudes of a panel of 1,500 teachers. The qualitative strand builds on the quantitative results and includes focus groups and in-depth interviews with a subsample of teachers in the panel. As the study is still in its initial phase, the purpose is not to present findings, but to discuss how quantitative and qualitative evidence can be combined in evaluation research.  相似文献
