A rich literature exists reinforcing the notion that both perceived and received social support has stress ameliorating and protective benefits both psychologically and physiologically. However, recent literature suggests that excessive dyadic negative problem talk about an issue, a phenomenon labeled co-rumination, may reverse much of the beneficial effects of social support. Healthy young adults participated in a laboratory research study exploring the associations between co-rumination and immune system inflammatory response. Partial correlations indicated a positive association between co-rumination and C-reactive protein and a negative association between co-rumination and interleukin-6 after controlling for stress, anxiety, and temperature. Discussion focuses on the means by which co-rumination may lead to negative health outcomes. 相似文献

Objective: To investigate the effect of interleukin-18 (IL-18) on immune response induced by plasmid encoding hepatitis B virus middle protein antigen and to explore new strategies for prophylactic and therapeutic HBV DNA vaccines. Methods: BALB/c mice were immunized with pCMV-M alone or co-immunized with pcDNA3-18 and pCMV-M and then their sera were collected for analysing anti-HBsAg antibody by ELISA; splenocytes were isolated for detecting specific CTL response and cytokine assay in vitro. Results: The anti-HBs antibody level of mice co-immunized with pcDNA3-18 and pCMV-M was slightly higher than that of mice immunized with pCMV-M alone, but there was not significantly different (P>0.05). Compared with mice injected with pCMV-M, the specific CTL cytotoxity activity of mice immunized with pcDNA3-18 and pCMV-M was significantly enhanced (P<0.05) and the level of IFN-γ in supernatant of splenocytes cultured with HBsAg in vitro was significantly elevated (P<0.05) while the level of IL-4 had no significant difference (P>0.05). Conclusion: The plasmid encoding IL-18 together with HBV M gene DNA vaccines may enhance specific TH1 cells and CTL cellular immune response induced in mice, so that IL-18 is a promising immune adjuvant. 相似文献

补充谷氨酰胺及大强度训练对赛艇运动员细胞免疫机能影响的研究 总被引：1，自引：0，他引：1
目的观察8w大强度训练和补充谷氨酰胺对细胞免疫机能的影响，以期为赛艇运动员免疫机能的研究提供参考资料。方法采集陕西省赛艇队公开级二线16名男性运动员实验前后晨安静时静脉血5ml测T淋巴细胞亚群和IL-2。结果H组（谷氨酰胺＋大强度训练组）和C组（大强度训练组）运动员8周大强度训练后IL-2较自身安静时都降低，服用谷氨酰胺组（H组）外周血IL-2下降17．9％（P〉0．05）；C组下降48．5％（P〈0．001）；实验后H组CD3^＋无显著性变化，CD4^_上升7．6％（P〉0．05），CD8^＋下降16．6％（P〈0．05），CD4^＋／CD8^＋比值升高17．3％（P〈0．05）；C组CD3^＋下降（p〈0．05），CD4^＋下降20．6％（P〈0．05），CD8^＋无明显变化，CD4^＋／CD8^＋比值下降21．0％（P〈0．05）。结论8周大强度训练明显抑制赛艇运动员机体细胞免疫功能，补充谷氨酰胺8w可以提高赛艇运动员细胞免疫功能。 相似文献

Nutraceuticals are nutritional medicines which are present in edible food items. Most of them are antioxidants with various other biological properties viz, anti inflammatory, anti atherogenic, anticancer, anti viral, anti aging properties etc. They are as simple as minerals like Se2+ to complex organic molecules such as glycyrrhizin (Ca2+, K+ salts of glycyrrhizic acid). They can prevent as well as cure various diseases. Most of the medical people are not aware of the importance of the nutraceuticals as such matters are not part of their text books. Many still think that vitamins are the major nutritional medicines. Actually other dietary principles like terpenes, carotenes, phytosterols, polyphenols, flavanoids, di and poly sulphides, their sulfoxides and their precursor amino acids are necessary to scavenge free radicals in the body which are reactive oxygen species to protect and maintain the vitamin levels in the body. They down regulate the activities of those enzymes which are increased in diseases and they increase those that remove oxidants and detoxify carcinogens. They are immune boosters too. Oral Cancer is one of the five leading sites of cancer in Indian population. The circulating immune complexes were investigated
in 100 serum samples of 60 oral cancer patients having different grades of the disease and 40 patients with precancerous lesions
obtained from Nair Hospital Dental collage, Mumbai. The results obtained were compared with those of group of 40 healthy blood
donors. Elevated levels of Circulating Immune Complexes were observed in oral cancer patients and patients with oral precancerous
lesions. 92% positive samples were observed in well differentiated squamous cell carcinoma whereas 100% positive samples were
observed in both moderately and poorly differentiated squamous cell carcinoma. Oral leukoplakia and oral submucous fibrosis
showed 15% and 90% positivity respectively. Increased level of Circulating Immune complexes in high grade tumor suggest that
Circulating Immune complexes is likely to contribute in evaluating the degree of malignancy, but follow up study is needed
