| 摘 要： | 清末新政是19世纪末20世纪初中国社会的一件大事，近代社会的士绅以其独特的见识和目力在近代化的道路上推动新政前进，使新政全面打开中国的现代化闸门；另一方面，新政的各项措施尤其是军事变革以其历史的前卫性对士阶层的命运起了主宰作用，士阶层的消亡是不可避免的。清末新政与士阶层的互动关系体现了历史的进步趋势。
