| Abstract: | This article makes a probe into the research purpose and the important elements forming the discipline information service system, so as to construct a mode of the discipline information service, which is motivated by the readers’ needs. Library should take the following as its ultimate aim： to enhance the service ability of librarians and the information quality of readers, and to promote knowledge innovation so as to satisfy the needs of the development of the libraries of higher institutions. |
