This essay is a research report, which is based on results of grammatical error analysis and interviews with linguistic teachers. These researches are conducted in four language streams, namely, Chinese, Spanish, Korean and Japanese. It will talk about problems identified in all these four language streams, with Chinese as the focus. Although according to various definitions, translation competence includes several parts, which are all required for a professional translator; this essay covers mainly the linguistic competence with tense and aspect issue as the main point. Meanwhile, some major causes of mistakes will be identified, such as interference of mother tongue, lack of second language proficiency. In the end, some possible ways for improvement are presented for reaching what are needed for a professional translator. 相似文献

Selection of an appropriate reporting verb and its tense & voice in a particular context is one of the best ways for the writer to present his work appropriately and to communicate effectively with others in the academic community.Previous studies on reporting verbs varied from sample to discipline,however,to my knowledge,no study has specifically addressed the question of whether there is tense and voice variation of reporting verbs in research articles in Introduction and Discussion in agricultural context.The present study is an attempt to investigate the tense and voice variation of reporting verbs and looks for explanations based on 30 agricultural science research articles.Results showed that no predominant tense choice was found in Introduction while simple past tense and present perfect tense were two tense preferences in Discussion.Active voice was found to be predominant in Introduction whereas passive voice was found to be predominant in Discussion. 相似文献

This paper provides an overview of models and methods for estimation of lifetime of technical components. Although the focus in this paper is on wind turbine applications, the major content of the paper is of general nature. Thus, most of the paper content is also valid for lifetime models applied to other technical systems. The models presented and discussed in this paper are classified in different types of model classes. The main classification used in this paper divides the models in the following classes： physical models, stochastic models, data-driven models and artificial intelligence, and combined models. The paper provides an overview of different models for the different classes. Furthermore, advantages and disadvantages of the models are discussed, and the estimation of model parameters is briefly described. Finally, a number of literature examples are given in this paper, providing an overview of applications of different models on wind turbines. 相似文献

In this paper, the security technology of ad hoc networks is studied.To improve the previous multi-receiver signcryption schemes, an ID-based multi-message and multi-receiver signcryption scheme for rekeying in ad hoc networks is proposed.In this scheme, a sender can simultaneously signcrypt n messeges for n receivers, and a receiver can unsigncrypt the ciphertext to get his message with his own private key.An analysis of this scheme indicates that it achieves authenticity and confidentiality in the random oracle model while being of lower computation and communication overhead.Finally, for the application of our scheme in ad hoc, a threshold key updating protocol for ad hoc networks is given. 相似文献

On some necessary conditions for double pyramidal central configurations with concave heptagon for any given ratio of masses, the existence and uniqueness of a class of double pyramidal central configurations with concave heptagon base for nine-body problems is proved in this paper, and the range of the ratio cr of the circularity radius of the heptagon to the half-height of the double pyramidal central configuration involved in this class configurations is obtained, which is in the interval （√3/3,1.099 600 679）, and the configuration involved in the bodies with any σ∈ （√3/3, 1.099 600 679） can form a central configuration which is a uniquely central configuration is proved. 相似文献

Employees in technical firms, like garages, need more and more formations. Due to the very fast innovation in technology, lifelong learning is a real need for these labour forces. On the other hand, there are the needed formations very specialized and expensive. Another problem employers faced in these economical sectors in Western Europe is the lack of candidates. Also in secondary education schools, the wide interest for these formations is decreasing. One of the factors causes this problem is that schools don＇t have enough money for investing in new and high-tech machines. Therefore two interreg projects were submitted and approved for financing. Interreg is an initiative of the European Union meant for the permanent development of the ＂European Space＂. The third phase of interreg means enhancing the economic and social cohesion within the European Union. In this paper, we describe two successful projects, namely Autoweb and V@K, which try to help employers, employees, schools and students to keep up with the high-tech innovations with a workplace-based e-learning program. 相似文献

The objective of this paper is to investigate the position of the resultant force in involute spline coupling teeth due to the contact pressure distribution for both ideal and misaligned conditions. In general, spline coupling teeth are in contact all along the involute profile and the load is far from uniform along the contact line. Theoretical models available in publications consider the resultant contact force as it is applied at the pitch diameter, and this study aims to evaluate the error introduced within the confines of a common approximation environment. This analysis is carried out through using finite element method （FEM） models, considering spline couplings in both ideal and misaligned conditions. Results show that the differences between the load application diameter and pitch diameter are not very obvious in both ideal and misaligned conditions; however, this ap- proximation becomes more important for the calculation of the tooth stiffness. 相似文献

The DIIA （Diploma in Investment Analysis） students from the FBM （Faculty of Business Management） were required to undertake several MOF （Mathematic of Finance） courses. The passing rates for all of the MOF courses were good except for one course. There are many factors for this low passing rate phenomenon for this particular MOF course. One of the factors is mathematics anxiety as suggested by Richardson in 1971. As a result, this paper is carried out in order to measure the undergraduates＇ level of mathematics anxiety in general and between genders in this one particular course. The outcome is expected to fill in the gap as study of anxiety in MOF is still lacking. A 30-item MARS （Mathematics Anxiety Rating Scale） is adapted and used in this study, because this course is predominant by complex computations. The Ss （samples） of the study are 119 students who undertook this MOF course during the study semester of December 2008 to April 2009 in UiTM （Universiti Teknologi MARA）. It is expected that the findings will show that the Ss have a considerably high mean for mathematics anxiety; and female students have a higher mean of mathematics anxiety as compared to their male counterparts. The study confirms the expectation of the researchers. In terms of the final and overall results, it was expected that the passing percentage be dominated by the male students. However, at the end of the study, the overall performance of the female students was much better compared to their male counterparts. 相似文献

In this paper, the growth of the telecommunication sector in Pakistan and consequent development in the related professional education is studied. The widening gap between the telecommunication industry and associated education sector is identified. The higher educational programs in Pakistan have grown very rapidly to meet the needs of the explosive growth in the telecommunications＇ engineering sector but this growth is not in synchronization with the requirements of the industry due to non-existence of collaboration and co-operation between the two. The professional education in telecommunication in Pakistan and the higher educational degree programs are very precisely focused on producing quality graduates with refined technical and mathematical skills While the telecom sector in Pakistan is in principle a service provider and a consumer market that mainly requires engineers for operation and maintenance related activities. As such the skills imparted by the education sector are rarely utilized, which results in dissatisfaction among the telecommunications＇ engineers. A survey of both the telecommunication sector and the academia has been conducted along with detailed discussions to explore the reasons for this ever-increasing gap, ways and means to arrest this trend and future course of action for the academia and the telecom sector to develop. A study related to other emerging technical fields like computer science has also been made for the comparison. On the basis of this extensive exercise outlined above, measures have been suggested to bridge the gap between the education and the industrial needs of the telecom sector. By adopting these measures not only our education sector will become more beneficial to the industry, but the industry would also get the advantage of immense potential of young graduates and the academic research. 相似文献

This paper is about a reflective practice happened in the author’ s College English teaching.Since 2005,a 5-minute oral-presentation was required for all the students in turn,in order to raise opportunities for them to practice oral English.But the students’ responses were always disappointing since they only took the task as a burden.After the teacher lift the limits on presentation time,form,sequence,partner,etc.,better learning outcomes were achieved.When reflecting on this change,Biggs’3P Models of "constructive alignment" is taken into account.Any teaching and learning activity (TLA) cannot put the students’ and the teacher’ s presage aside since the students’ ability,interests,motivation as well as the teacher’ s objective,assessment approach and so on are co-determinants of a successful TLA.Further suggestions are given based on this reflection at the end of the paper. 相似文献

The space effects of deep pit slope are analyzed by an elastic mechanics principle. The interaction among the critical slide angle, the friction coefficient, the cohesion, and the horizontal radius of the deep pits is derived in this paper. It indicates that the deeper the pit is excavated, the greater the critical slide angle is. Both the theory for reducing stripping waste rock in deep pit and the approach to determining the configuration of the stable slope are developed from the interaction. The theory in this paper comprises the preceding principles of stability analysis of slopes and is suitable for analyzing that of deep pit. 相似文献

The subject of the work is to propose a series of papers about adaptive finite element methods based on optimal error control estimate. This paper is the third part in a series of papers on adaptive finite element methods based on optimal error estimates for linear elliptic problems on the concave comer domains. In the preceding two papers (part 1 : Adaptive finite element method based on optimal error estimate for linear elliptic problems on concave comer domain; part 2:Adaptive finite element method based on optimal error estimate for linear elliptic problems on nonconvex polygonal domains), we presented adaptive finite element methods based on the energy norm and the maximum norm. In this paper, an important result is presented and analyzed.
