图书馆作为高校重要的文献信息服务机构,为教师和学生提供了丰富的学习和研究资源。高校图书馆一直秉承“读者第一,服务至上”的办馆理念,服务广大师生读者。随着国家智慧图书馆体系的提出,如何适应新形势,推动图书馆管理优化和服务创新,更高效地开展工作,成为当下亟待解决的问题。文章以“组织能力的杨三角”理论为指导,以读者需求为导向,旨在通过高校图书馆服务意愿、服务能力和服务机制三位一体的体系化建设,使高校图书馆工作能够满足用户需求,助力高校更好地发展。  相似文献

虽然高校图书馆对MOOC的关注和研究越来越多,但只有在调查研究高校图书馆读者对MOOC的认知和参与情况的基础上,提出图书馆开展MOOC学习支持服务的解决思路,才更有针对性.利用问卷调查和访谈相结合的方式,调查了解华南农业大学图书馆的本科生和研究生读者对MOOC的认知和参与情况,同时在分析梳理调查结果的基础上,探讨高校图书馆开展MOOC学习支持服务的动机、方法与实施路径,最后提出相关结论和建议.  相似文献

The Auraria Library, which serves the University of Colorado Denver, Metropolitan State College of Denver and the Community College of Denver, collaborated with several academic courses on its campus to investigate some aspects of Participatory Action Research and Service Learning. The goal was to have students (the largest library user group) formulate questions, analyze data and provide suggestions that would help the library make evidence based decisions. The projects would provide student produced information that would be used to renovate the library. Unexpected benefits included the valuable relationships that developed between the Auraria Library, students and teaching faculty.  相似文献

Abstract

This case study highlights a free curriculum created to commemorate the World War I centennial and to celebrate the future of volunteerism and global citizenship education by encouraging students to engage in local, regional, and international service. The lesson plans are aligned with Common Core and UNESCO Global Learning standards, and use primary sources to highlight the little-known efforts of Americans who volunteered in nonmilitary roles before and after the period of American neutrality. The curriculum was a result, in part, of newly accessible collections from the Archives of the American Field Service and AFS Intercultural Programs and related outreach efforts.  相似文献

In the summer of 2010, to provide a “one-stop shop” service point to Woodruff Library patrons, the Circulation, Reference, and Learning Commons (LC) desks merged into the unified Library Service Desk (LSD) under Access Services. Last year, due to organizational changes in the library and IT, and anticipated support needs of the new LC spaces and technologies, Student Digital Life opened a separate LC Technical Support desk. The lessons of the year of the two desks, funding considerations, and the persistent goal to streamline the experience of our patrons resulted in transitioning the functions of the LC desk to LSD, thus evolving it to new organizational and operational levels.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

The need for research support in U.K. universities is growing at a fast pace and a number of different professional and academic units within universities are involved in the process. This case study takes place in a post-92 higher education institution and discusses the benefit of utilizing a cross-university Community of Practice (CoP) approach to delivering research support services. It takes a qualitative approach, using semi-structured interviews to ascertain the personal experiences of community members. The article's key findings for successful implementation include a common sense of purpose; a shared concern or passion about the research agenda; a sense of community and belonging; trust; a safe environment; and senior management support. Added benefit is demonstrated by enhanced staff knowledge, increased job satisfaction, and profile-raising of the Library and Learning Service. The findings can help libraries in similar positions to use collaborative initiatives to develop research support services.  相似文献

This article explores the adoption of Community Learning in a subject-specific academic library. The underlying principle for Community Learning is established as being co-agency. The rationale for adopting this theme and related principles are the results of student surveys demonstrating that librarians and libraries are not often used by students for assistance with their studies. Although much work has been achieved by librarians in improving their teaching skills, students may not choose to take advantage of learning provided in academic libraries. Current developments in US academic libraries are compared with the proposed model of Community Learning. The case study explores a number of methods employed by the library staff to engage with the whole community of which it is a part in fostering effective learning. The case study community already provides a tailored and personalized service and views Community Learning as another aspect of the service. It is possible to conclude that the methods adopted have proven to be useful, but more work is needed to embed the co-agency principle more firmly and strategically within the Faculty. Establishing the impact of Community Learning has yet to be formally investigated, but anecdotal evidence demonstrates that the route is worth pursuing.  相似文献
