[目的/意义] 针对当前我国高校毕业生就业难的问题,为提高图书情报专业毕业生的就业核心竞争力,对图书情报专业院系就业信息服务的开展进行探析。[方法/过程] 对美国伊利诺伊大学图书情报研究生院向其学生提供的工作列表信息、信息性面试、就业指导、专业组织和邮件列表信息以及密切联系招聘单位等就业信息服务进行分析研究。[结果/结论] 提出可供我国图书情报院校开展就业信息服务的启示:广泛深入地开发就业信息资源,系统连续地搜集就业信息,开展多样化的就业信息服务,提高就业信息服务的效率以及准确及时地提供与传递就业信息。 相似文献

与西方国家图书情报类毕业生专业教育与职业发展的高匹配度相比,我国图书情报类毕业生的职业选择和职业发展呈现出明显的分化背离特征.文章通过我国图书情报类毕业生专业认同感、就业走向、职业发展状况和薪酬水平等职业特征的分析,指出当前毕业生专业认同感的薄弱、专业教育与职业发展匹配度的偏离以及就业去向职业发展的多元化等已经成为我国图书情报类毕业生就业的普遍特征,并从图书情报专业教育、社会对图书情报专业人才需求结构及毕业生就业指导服务体系等不同角度寻找原因,探索对策. 相似文献

This paper summarizes the findings of a survey of the careers of graduates from the M.Sc. in Information Science programme at the School of Information Studies for Africa (SISA), Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia, between 1990/92 and 1994/96. The SISA programme has been recognized as relevant to the Library and Information Science employment and market demands. Career opportunities and market requirements for information scientists in Sub-Saharan Africa are promising within governmental, private and international organizations. Several recommendations have been suggested to enhance the SISA programme. The rise of the librarian's role in teaching information literacy competencies and assessing student learning outcomes requires that instruction librarians be cognizant of and competent in a broad array of teaching and assessment skills. A review of the literature shows that, while instruction librarians are proactive in improving their level of expertise, they also express the need to have training and experience during their graduate programs. This article utilizes a case-study approach to propose a model of instruction librarian education. The authors, recent graduates from the University of Hawai'i Library and Information Science Program, analyze the effect of their experiences in a semester-long teaching practicum and a formal graduate level course in instructional methodology. It is proposed that future instruction librarians be provided opportunities for extended teaching practicums combined with coursework in instructional theory during their Library and Information Science program. 相似文献

Finding a position in an academic library can be challenging for recent Library and Information Science (LIS) graduates. While LIS students are often encouraged to seek out experience, network, and improve upon their technology skills in hopes of better improving their odds in the job market, little research exists to support this anecdotal advice. This study quantifies the academic and work experiences of recent LIS graduates in order to provide a better understanding of what factors most significantly influence the outcome of their academic library job searches. The survey results demonstrate that the job outlook is most positive for candidates who applied early, obtained academic library experience (preferably employment), participated in professional conferences, and gained familiarity with committee work. 相似文献

以《图书情报工作》2000-2011年刊发的论文为样本,以高频词和知识图谱为考察视角,发现图书馆学情报学相对"不变"的主题域主要有5个:数字图书馆、学科信息服务、竞争情报与知识管理、图书馆学与情报学理论研究和文献计量学研究。以关键词历年频次变化为考察视角,分别挖掘出最近6年新兴主题、增幅明显主题、消失主题及降幅明显主题若干,并筛选出30个左右"突现词"作为最具"变"的意味的关键词,以考察图书馆学情报学的情境性演变。研究发现《图书情报工作》热切关注前沿主题,在某种程度上引领着我国图书馆学情报学的发展方向。 相似文献
