Based on Brown &Levinson’s Face Threatening Acts and Geert Hofstede’s Cultural Dimensions,this study is an analysis of Chinese college students’ face needs in EFL class.In this study,the subjects are 116 freshmen,non-English majors.Selecting totally 60 students from them and dividing them into two groups according to their scores of College English Entrance Examination.The collected data from questionnaire are analyzed by statistical software SPSS16.0 version.The major findings from the analysis include the following:1) high-scored students and low-scored students have similar positive face needs;2) Weight of imposition,group tendency and uncertainty avoidance are used to exam students’ negative face needs.According to the data in SPSS16.0,there is a difference between the two groups in terms of the weight of imposition.But the Independent-Samples T test of Sum of Questionnaire indicates that there is no distinct difference in the negative face needs between the two groups. 相似文献

An improved automatic voltage coordination control strategy(AVCCS) based on automatic voltage control(AVC) and battery energy storage control(BESC) is proposed for photovoltaic grid-connected system(PVGS) to mitigate the voltage fluctuations caused by environmental disturbances.Only AVC is used when small environmental disturbances happen,while BESC is incorporated with AVC to restrain the voltage fluctuations when large disturbances happen.An adjustable parameter determining the allowed amplitudes of voltage fluctuations is introduced to realize the above switching process.A benchmark low voltage distribution system including PVGS is established by using the commercial software DIg SILENT.Simulation results show that the voltage under AVCCS satisfies the IEEE Standard 1547,and the installed battery capacity is also reduced.Meanwhile,the battery’s service life is extended by avoiding frequent charges/discharges in the control process. 相似文献

The two English versions of Lu Xun’s stories, translated by Julia Lovell and the Rangs, are to be studied from the ecotranslatological perspective. A comparative study of the two English versions is made to figure out how the two translators linguistically and culturally make adaptive selections in the process of translation of Lu Xun’s stories—In other words, how the eco-environment has greatly influenced the two translators’ decisions to make adaptations and choices in linguistic and cultural aspects.The thesis discovers that the eco-environment has greatly influenced the process of translating Lu Xun’s stories into English and eco-translatology is feasible to analyze the two translations, that both the Yangs and Lovell have offered successful translations by making adaptive selections and selective transformations. Therefore, neither of the two translations is superior or inferior to one another in different translational eco- environments. Hopefully, the thesis may enrich current researches on the Yang’s and Lovell’s translations and may be useful for the further study of applying eco-translatology to studies on other translators and their works. 相似文献

This paper presents a method of forecasting stable operation of gas compressor unit (GCU) centrifugal supercharger (CFS) installed on a piping of compressor shops servicing gas pipelines. The stability of superchargers operation is assessed in relation to the phenomenon of surge. Solution of this problem amounts to the development and numerical analysis of a set of ordinary differential equations. The set describes transmission of gas through a compressor shop as a fluid dynamics model with lumped parameters. The proposed method is oriented to wide application by specialists working in the gas industry. The practical application of this method can use all-purpose programming and mathematical software available to specialists of gas companies. 相似文献

An experimental machine vision apparatus was used to identify and extract recyclable plastic bottles out of a conveyor belt. Color images were taken with a commercially available Webcam, and the recognition was performed by our homemade software, based on the shape and dimensions of object images. The software was able to manage multiple bottles in a single image and was additionally extended to cases involving touching bottles. The identification was fulfilled by comparing the set of measured features with an existing database and meanwhile integrating various recognition techniques such as minimum distance in the feature space, self-organized maps, and neural networks. The recognition system was tested on a set of 50 different bottles and provided so far an accuracy of about 97% on bottle identification. The extraction of the bottles was performed by means of a pneumatic arm, which was activated according to the plastic type; polyethylene-terephthalate （PET） bottles were left on the conveyor belt, while non-PET bottles were extracted. The software was designed to provide the best compromise between reliability and speed for real-time applications in view of the commercialization of the system at existing recycling plants. 相似文献

This paper introduces Kim’s integrative theory of communication and cross-cultural adaptation. Building on a broad range of existing concepts, models, and research data across disciplines, Kim’s theory addresses two central questions: (a) What is the essential nature of the adaptation process? and (b) why are some strangers more successful than others in the adaptation process? The first question is addressed in the form of a process model. The second question is addressed in the form of a structural model. Mobility and resource-limitedness pose challenging issues to service configuration for quality of service （QoS） management in ubiquitous computing environments. Previous configuration approaches, such as static resource reservation, dynamic resource allocation and single service composition are not valid in the environments. In this study, we present an adaptive service configuration approach. Firstly, we reduce the dynamic configuration process to a control model which aims to achieve the variation of critical QoS on minimal level with less resource cost. Secondly, to deal with different QoS variations, we design two configuration strategies--service chain reconfiguration and QoS parameter adjustment--and implement them based on fuzzy logic control theory. Finally, a configuration algorithm is developed to flexibly employ the two configuration strategies in tune with the error of critical QoS in configuration process. The results of simulation experiments suggest that our approach outperforms existing configuration approaches in both QoS improvement and resource utilization. 相似文献
