在检索系统对基于互联网的海量信息进行检索的过程中,检索效率很大程度上取决于检索策略的质量。为提高检索策略的正确性,本文根据信息逻辑检索的基本原理,并参照DIALOG系统,提出了检索需求的主题分析法则,并在此基础上建立了检索策略优化模型。同时,还给出了此模型在操作执行过程中的组配机制。  相似文献

目前,计算机情报检索已相当普遍,其检索过程已由手工检索的人工比较变为机器内部没有内涵的字符串匹配及逻辑运算过程。这样,检索质量的高低也就取决于检索策略质量的优劣,而检索策略质量的优劣则取决于我们能否对课题内容领会的程度,只有深入地领会了课题真谛,才能在确定相关数据库的基础上拟定出合适的检索表达式。检索式的质量决定了检索的效果。检索式包括单元词和由单元词组成词组的表达式。而要使我们提出的检索式通过计算机检出优质的相关文献,必须通过施行恰当的检索技术。下面对几种常用的检索技术进行讨论。  相似文献

[目的/意义] 搜索策略是搜索行为的规划,是搜索过程的核心,一直是搜索行为研究的重要课题。探索用户搜索策略的运用及其转换的规律,对于IR系统的功能优化及提升用户信息搜索效率具有重要意义。[方法/过程] 研究确定了来自4个搜索主题的8个搜索任务,招募了30名参与者,开展了搜索实验,并对搜索行为视频加以编码,在统计不同搜索策略使用频次的基础上,构建了常见的用户搜索策略转换模式。[结果/结论] 访问和评估策略是信息搜索的常见策略,而修改查询语句、学习等搜索策略运用较少。向前访问→评估单个项目、评估搜索结果→向前访问为用户信息搜索最常见的策略转换模式,而向前访问→探索等策略转换发生概率极低。此外,用户在搜索的不同阶段的策略运用及策略转换呈现较大差异,这为IR系统设计提供了详尽有用的指导。  相似文献

Controversy is a complex concept that has been attracting attention of scholars from diverse fields. In the era of Internet and social media, detecting controversy and controversial concepts by the means of automatic methods is especially important. Web searchers could be alerted when the contents they consume are controversial or when they attempt to acquire information on disputed topics. Presenting users with the indications and explanations of the controversy should offer them chance to see the “wider picture” rather than letting them obtain one-sided views. In this work we first introduce a formal model of controversy as the basis of computational approaches to detecting controversial concepts. Then we propose a classification based method for automatic detection of controversial articles and categories in Wikipedia. Next, we demonstrate how to use the obtained results for the estimation of the controversy level of search queries. The proposed method can be incorporated into search engines as a component responsible for detection of queries related to controversial topics. The method is independent of the search engine’s retrieval and search results recommendation algorithms, and is therefore unaffected by a possible filter bubble.Our approach can be also applied in Wikipedia or other knowledge bases for supporting the detection of controversy and content maintenance. Finally, we believe that our results could be useful for social science researchers for understanding the complex nature of controversy and in fostering their studies.  相似文献

Real time search is an increasingly important area of information seeking on the Web. In this research, we analyze 1,005,296 user interactions with a real time search engine over a 190 day period. Using query log analysis, we investigate searching behavior, categorize search topics, and measure the economic value of this real time search stream. We examine aggregate usage of the search engine, including number of users, queries, and terms. We then classify queries into subject categories using the Google Directory topical hierarchy. We next estimate the economic value of the real time search traffic using the Google AdWords keyword advertising platform. Results shows that 30% of the queries were unique (used only once in the entire dataset), which is low compared to traditional Web searching. Also, 60% of the search traffic comes from the search engine’s application program interface, indicating that real time search is heavily leveraged by other applications. There are many repeated queries over time via these application program interfaces, perhaps indicating both long term interest in a topic and the polling nature of real time queries. Concerning search topics, the most used terms dealt with technology, entertainment, and politics, reflecting both the temporal nature of the queries and, perhaps, an early adopter user-based. However, 36% of the queries indicate some geographical affinity, pointing to a location-based aspect to real time search. In terms of economic value, we calculate this real time search stream to be worth approximately US $33,000,000 (US $33 M) on the online advertising market at the time of the study. We discuss the implications for search engines and content providers as real time content increasingly enters the main stream as an information source.  相似文献

The retrieval effectiveness of the underlying document search component of an expert search engine can have an important impact on the effectiveness of the generated expert search results. In this large-scale study, we perform novel experiments in the context of the document search and expert search tasks of the TREC Enterprise track, to measure the influence that the performance of the document ranking has on the ranking of candidate experts. In particular, our experiments show that while the expert search system performance is related to the relevance of the retrieved documents, surprisingly, it is not always the case that increasing document search effectiveness causes an increase in expert search performance. Moreover, we simulate document rankings designed with expert search performance in mind and, through a failure analysis, show why even a perfect document ranking may not result in a perfect ranking of candidate experts.  相似文献

The evaluation of exploratory search relies on the ongoing paradigm shift from focusing on the search algorithm to focusing on the interactive process. This paper proposes a model-driven formative evaluation approach, in which the goal is not the evaluation of a specific system, per se, but the exploration of new design possibilities. This paper gives an example of this approach where a model of sensemaking was used to inform the evaluation of a basic exploratory search system(s) in the context of a sensemaking task. The model suggested that, rather than just looking at simple search performance measures, we should examine closely the interwoven, interactive processes of both representation construction and information seeking. Participants were asked to make sense of an unfamiliar topic using an augmented query-based search system. The processes of representation construction and information seeking were captured and analyzed using data from experiment notes, interviews, and a system log. The data analysis revealed users’ sources of ideas for structuring representations and a tightly coupled relationship between search and representation construction in their exploratory searches. For example, users strategically used search to find useful structure ideas instead of just accumulating information facts. Implications for improving current search systems and designing new systems are discussed.  相似文献

Query suggestion is a common feature of many information search systems. While much research has been conducted about how to generate suggestions, fewer studies have been conducted about how people interact with and use suggestions. The purpose of this paper is to investigate how and when people integrate query suggestions into their searches and the outcome of this usage. The paper further investigates the relationships between search expertise, topic difficulty, and temporal segment of the search and query suggestion usage. A secondary analysis of data was conducted using data collected in a previous controlled laboratory study. In this previous study, 23 undergraduate research participants used an experimental search system with query suggestions to conduct four topic searches. Results showed that participants integrated the suggestions into their searching fairly quickly and that participants with less search expertise used more suggestions and saved more documents. Participants also used more suggestions towards the end of their searches and when searching for more difficult topics. These results show that query suggestion can provide support in situations where people have less search expertise, greater difficulty searching and at specific times during the search.  相似文献

[目的/意义]查询式搜索适用于目标明确的提问应答式信息问题,探索式搜索更注重搜索过程的人机交互性、动态性与多面性,两者表现出不同的行为特征。作为搜索行为研究的基本问题之一,相关研究还比较缺乏。论文旨在探究查询式搜索与探索式搜索行为特征的差异,这对于信息搜索系统的功能优化以及指导用户高效获取信息都具有重要的实践意义。[方法/过程]论文以健康信息搜索为例,采用搜索行为实验的方法,通过对录屏数据的分析,从检索策略、学习行为、深度搜索和搜索绩效4个维度对两种搜索行为进行比较。[结果/结论]查询式搜索与探索式搜索在关键词变换数、访问网页数目等6个指标上存在显著性差异,在检索工具选择、查询串长度、搜索结果集的翻页和相关链接搜索4个指标上不存在显著性差异。  相似文献

组织忘却对创新的促进作用已受到关注,但鲜有文献研究组织忘却与绿色创新的关系,也甚少有学者分析知识搜寻在组织忘却与绿色创新关系中的作用。在相关文献研究的基础上,将知识搜寻分为广度知识搜寻和深度知识搜寻,以知识搜寻为中介变量,通过211家企业的问卷调查,运用层次回归分析方法,对组织忘却、知识搜寻与绿色创新关系展开实证研究。研究发现:组织忘却对绿色创新、广度知识搜寻和深度知识搜寻均有显著的正向影响,广度知识搜寻和深度知识搜寻对绿色创新有积极影响,广度知识搜寻和深度知识搜寻在组织忘却与绿色创新关系中起完全中介作用,深度知识搜寻在组织忘却与绿色创新关系中的中介效应大于广度知识搜寻的中介效应。  相似文献

[目的/意义]大数据时代智慧图书馆用户需要精确智能的检索工具,而移动视觉搜索技术能够满足用户以视觉资源数据为中心的检索需求。[方法/过程]文章在分析国内外基于深度学习的视觉资源识别技术的研究基础之上,构建了基于深度学习的智慧图书馆移动视觉搜索服务模式模型,并设计了模型的工作流程,最后对基于深度学习的智慧图书馆移动视觉搜索系统的发展趋势进行了展望。[结果/结论]将深度学习融入智慧图书馆移动视觉搜索系统中,可以整合多源异构视觉数据、贴合用户个性化偏好以及提高移动视觉搜索系统性能。  相似文献
