Due to the prevalence of fuzziness in literary works and in poetry in particular,the author puts forward the view that some skills such as rhetoric devices,abstraction,meaning manifestation,creation of imagination context are to be adopted in the translation of literary fuzziness from the perspective of aesthetic recognition to achieve an integration between the textual implication and the readers’ expectation horizon.And the author takes the translation of Chinese classic poems for example,through detailed analysis and comparison,proves the feasibility of the viewpoint. 相似文献

This paper is a corpus-driven study on the semantic prosody of DOG within English and Chinese culture through comparison of the Freiburg-LOB Corpus of British(FLOB) and the Lancaster Corpus of Mandarin Chinese(LCMC).It examines the overall distributions and frequencies of DOG with positive,negative,and neutral prosodies.The results reveal the semantic prosody of DOG both in British culture and Chinese culture,as well as the differences between them. 相似文献

In the novel of Hard Times, Dickens expressed his own concern with the conflict between labor and capital through the character Stephen Blackpool. The author used many words depicting Stephen's pathetic life, especially his unfortunate marriage, presenting him to the readers as a fully developed character. However, Stephen's pathetic life is not closely related to his major function in the novel, which is for Dickens to voice his opinions on class struggles. Presumably, the author has more intentions, be it conscious or unconscious, in assigning so many pages to the depiction of Stephen. Inspired by this presumption, I read through Dickens's biography and explored his married life. Based on the research work, a caparison between Stephen's and Dickens's marriages is conducted in this paper, applying Freud's psychoanalytical theory. The comparative analysis proves to be fruitful and reviews some implications about the author's own life. 相似文献
