当今的科技信息发展环境中,信息检索用户的认知行为和需求心理极为复杂.如何将信息检索中用户的潜意识显现出来,以便更好地服务于检索系统建设,是信息检索研究中的核心难题之一.研究基于流行于欧美国家及港台地区多年的身心语言程式(NLP)理论,从身心、语言和程式三个核心维度出发,构建了信息检索用户的"需求认知、表达与交互模式"、"检索语言认知、表达与交互模式"和"检索目标制定中的心理取向模型".同时结合MP中的锚理论,分析信息检索用户的"心锚"和相关的"空间锚",总结出相应的信息检索规律,构建出检索中锚交互模型、集合关系、双因子矩阵模型和表达式,并对相关的假设模型进行数据检验和优化.  相似文献

[目的/意义]信息检索本质上是一个认知过程,研究促进用户认知的交互式信息检索模型具有重要意义。[研究设计/方法]以建构主义理论为指导,以促进用户的认知发展为研究目标,构建了以信息空间层、用户空间层和界面交互层为顶层分析框架的交互式信息检索模型,并开发了原型系统。[结论/发现]实验结果表明原型系统能有效地促进用户对信息空间的探索与挖掘,帮助用户积极主动地进行认知建构,发展认知空间。[创新/价值]将认知建构理论运用于信息检索领域,从交互设计方面对检索系统提出了改进建议,以更好地提供认知支持。  相似文献

Summary

Digital reference is an important research area with the potential to enhance information delivery to library patrons. The process of digital reference involves the challenges and problems of an interactive computer-mediated reference interview. Related studies of mediated online searching have identified the major tasks during a mediated online search. The search intermediary's tasks included gathering information on the information need, previous searches on the topic by the information seeker, search terms and strategies, database selection, search procedures, system's outputs and relevance of retrieved items, and the number of topics to be searched. The information seeker's tasks include providing information to the search intermediary on their topic, discussing their previous information seeking and evaluating the online search output. Models of digital reference interviews need to include more complex information seeking behaviors, such as successive searching and multitasking. Further research is needed to extend our understanding of digital reference processes.  相似文献

This article presents results from a survey designed to assess the relevance of library and information science (LIS) expertise—here defined as those topics typically, but not exclusively, taught in LIS programs—for museum professionals. The topics covered in this article are information representation, information organization and access, information management, computer technologies, digitization technologies, interactive technologies, information policy, evaluation methods, and collaboration initiatives. An online survey assessed the degree to which museum professionals possess skills in these topics, perform work in these topics, and consider these topics important for future study. The article examines the relative value of each topic for museum professionals and discusses the importance of strengthening relationships between LIS and museum studies by better understanding the relevance of LIS expertise in museums.  相似文献

While researchers have explored and proposed dozens of user relevance judgment criteria (RJC) in various situations, there is a lack of empirical research on the effects of RJC on user relevance judgment and how. The study sought to develop relations between RJC and situational relevance (SR) via four perceived values, epistemic value, functional value, conditional value, and social value, by introducing multi-factors perceived value (PV) theory and structural equation modeling (SEM). The study developed a RJC model basing on multi-factors PV and derived seven hypotheses to be verified. The data of the use of RJC and self-estimation of PVs from 453 people who were all participants of a national data sharing competition were collected by questionnaire, and then were verified and analyzed by SEM to test the hypotheses. The results verify the effectiveness of four PVs on SR with different levels. Meanwhile, it also suggests that RJC can function as the measurements of PVs and reduce RJC as well. Based on the above process, the study puts forward a new definition of SR based on four information values and verifies the SR judgment model—information value-utility model. The research provides theoretical basis and measurement dimensions for understanding and measuring SR. Finally, the theoretical and practical implications of this study are discussed.  相似文献

A solid research path towards new information retrieval models is to further develop the theory behind existing models. A profound understanding of these models is therefore essential. In this paper, we revisit probability ranking principle (PRP)-based models, probability of relevance (PR) models, and language models, finding conceptual differences in their definition and interrelationships. The probabilistic model of the PRP has not been explicitly defined previously, but doing so leads to the formulation of two actual principles with different objectives. First, the belief probability ranking principle (BPRP), which considers uncertain relevance between known documents and the current query, and second, the popularity probability ranking principle (PPRP), which considers the probability of relevance of documents among multiple queries with the same features. Our analysis shows how some of the discussed PR models implement the BPRP or the PPRP while others do not. However, for some models the parameter estimation is challenging. Finally, language models are often presented as related to PR models. However, we find that language models differ from PR models in every aspect of a probabilistic model and the effectiveness of language models cannot be explained by the PRP.  相似文献

Past research has identified many different types of relevance in information retrieval (IR). So far, however, most evaluation of IR systems has been through batch experiments conducted with test collections containing only expert, topical relevance judgements. Recently, there has been some movement away from this traditional approach towards interactive, more user-centred methods of evaluation. However, these are expensive for evaluators in terms both of time and of resources. This paper describes a new evaluation methodology, using a task-oriented test collection, which combines the advantages of traditional non-interactive testing with a more user-centred emphasis. The main features of a task-oriented test collection are the adoption of the task, rather than the query, as the primary unit of evaluation and the naturalistic character of the relevance judgements.  相似文献

交互式跨语言信息检索是信息检索的一个重要分支。在分析交互式跨语言信息检索过程、评价指标、用户行为进展等理论研究基础上,设计一个让用户参与跨语言信息检索全过程的用户检索实验。实验结果表明:用户检索词主要来自检索主题的标题;用户判断文档相关性的准确率较高;目标语言文档全文、译文摘要、译文全文都是用户认可的判断依据;翻译优化方法以及翻译优化与查询扩展的结合方法在用户交互环境下非常有效;用户对于反馈后的翻译仍然愿意做进一步选择;用户对于与跨语言信息检索系统进行交互是有需求并认可的。用户行为分析有助于指导交互式跨语言信息检索系统的设计与实践。  相似文献

Relevance feedback is an effective technique for improving search accuracy in interactive information retrieval. In this paper, we study an interesting optimization problem in interactive feedback that aims at optimizing the tradeoff between presenting search results with the highest immediate utility to a user (but not necessarily most useful for collecting feedback information) and presenting search results with the best potential for collecting useful feedback information (but not necessarily the most useful documents from a user’s perspective). Optimizing such an exploration–exploitation tradeoff is key to the optimization of the overall utility of relevance feedback to a user in the entire session of relevance feedback. We formally frame this tradeoff as a problem of optimizing the diversification of search results since relevance judgments on more diversified results have been shown to be more useful for relevance feedback. We propose a machine learning approach to adaptively optimizing the diversification of search results for each query so as to optimize the overall utility in an entire session. Experiment results on three representative retrieval test collections show that the proposed learning approach can effectively optimize the exploration–exploitation tradeoff and outperforms the traditional relevance feedback approach which only does exploitation without exploration.  相似文献

相关反馈是一种重要的查询重构技术,本文分析了两类相关反馈技术,一是按用户是否参与可分为伪相关反馈和交互式相关反馈,二是按作用于查询的方式可分为查询扩展与检索词重新加权.在此基础上,本文重点探讨了将相关反馈技术应用于跨语言信息检索,提出了翻译前查询扩展、翻译后查询扩展、翻译前与翻译后相结合的查询扩展三种方法.最后,本文通过伪相关反馈实验对这三种方法进行了比较,实验结果显示,三种跨语言查询扩展方法都能够有效地提高检索结果的精度,其中翻译后查询扩展方法相对更优越.此外,查询式的长度对不同跨语言查询扩展方法产生着不同程度的影响.  相似文献

[目的/意义]通过研究新媒体环境下企业与用户之间的信息互动行为,了解用户信息交互行为特征,帮助企业了解用户需求,为用户提供更好的服务,从而提高企业的核心竞争力。[方法/过程]采用社会网络和语义分析方法,选取汽车行业的3个代表性企业,用点度中心性、中间中心度、接近中心度和特征向量中心度指标分析企业与用户信息互动的转发与被转发行为、关注与被关注行为、评论与被评论行为和互动凝聚性;用语义关键词词频分析信息互动词频,进而通过5个特征属性指标呈现新媒体环境下企业与用户进行信息互动的行为特征。[结果/结论]基于社会网络分析和语义分析方法构建的新媒体环境下企业与用户信息互动的行为模型可以作为企业与用户进行信息互动分析的研究框架;数据分析结果表明企业可以利用新媒体平台加强与用户之间的信息互动进而提升产品及服务的竞争力。  相似文献
