However, elementary teachers may find this challenging -because language arts and mathematics still dominate many classrooms—often at the expense of science. The Common Core State Standards and Response to Intervention are significant contemporary educational initiatives that have emerged largely in isolation from one another. We argue that an integration of these initiatives is beneficial. We trace the independent development of these two initiatives and offer suggestions for how they might fruitfully transact, fully supporting vulnerable readers in their efforts to master sophisticated standards. Integration and Physical Education: A Review of Research

The Common Core State Standards Initiative has placed an increased focus on mathematics and English language arts. A relationship between physical activity and academic achievement is evident, but research on integration of academic subjects with physical education is still unclear. This literature review examined databases for the years 2004–2013, focusing on physical education or physical activity and core academic subjects for school-aged youth. 23 studies were found that focused on integration and physical education that met the inclusion criteria. These were from 16 different publication outlets, ranging in research methods, country, and population. This review provides information on the status of integration and physical education. Since classroom teachers are increasingly being encouraged to incorporate core subjects with physical activity into their classes, it would be appropriate for physical educators to understand the desired outcomes of integration of core subjects before attempting its implementation.  相似文献   

How open is open enough?: Melding proprietary and open source platform strategies

Computer platforms provide an integrated architecture of hardware and software standards as a basis for developing complementary assets. The most successful platforms were owned by proprietary sponsors that controlled platform evolution and appropriated associated rewards.Responding to the Internet and open source systems, three traditional vendors of proprietary platforms experimented with hybrid strategies which attempted to combine the advantages of open source software while retaining control and differentiation. Such hybrid standards strategies reflect the competing imperatives for adoption and appropriability, and suggest the conditions under which such strategies may be preferable to either the purely open or purely proprietary alternatives.  相似文献

This paper proposes an integrative framework for understanding the process by which a technology achieves dominance when “battling” against other technological designs. We focus on describing the different stages of a dominance battle and propose five battle milestones that in turn define five key phases in the process. We review the literature from several disciplines to identify the key firm- and environment-level factors that affect the outcome of a technology battle and posit that the relative importance of each factor will vary depending on the phase considered. Our framework complements and extends existing literature and has implications both for theory and for management practice.  相似文献

依据《国家体质健康标准》对南开大学在校10089名本科生进行了体质健康标准测试。调查结果显示:南开大学学生身高标准体重主要表现为正常体重人群比例较低,超重、肥胖学生人数较多,比例较大,身体形态匀程度较差。心血管系统功能和肺功能总体情况良好,且女生的总体状况略高于男生,说明男生的心血管系统的功能、肺通气总量对3min运动定量负荷承受能力和女生相比稍差一些。女生柔韧素质良好,男生上肢肌肉力量素质较高,全校学生下肢肌肉爆发力素质较高,但基本处于中等水平,且女生表现比起男生相对较好,这提示在今后的体育教学和学生自身的体育锻炼中应加强有氧运动健身,提升耐力素质,降低身体成分中脂肪含量,同时应多加强科学健身与膳食营养补充等知识讲授,发挥体育教育的健康教育功能,并结合体质健康标准测试的监测,从而达到全面促进学生健康的目的。  相似文献

本文分析了应收账款风险产生的原因,指出产生应收账款风险的原因有销售部门与财务部门有效沟通及协调不足,企业内部激励机制单一、不健全,企业法律保护意识薄弱,催收方法不合理,减少存货,盲目追求片面的竞争,缺乏风险防范意识,信用管理制度的缺失,财务会计制度的某些条款不尽合理,企业的经营目的不明确。针对以上应收账款形成风险的原因,本文提出了加强销售与财务的共同管理,结‘对’管理,建立完善的信用管理体系及赊销审批制度,采取合理的催款程序及方法,掌握客户债务的动态变化,规避不合理的财务制度,从企业管理的角度看应收账款等防范措施。  相似文献
