Apart from the biochemical parameters routinely used like Vanillyl Mandellic Acid for the patients with neuroblastoma the
parameters like neuron specific enolase, ferritin, lactate dehydrogenase, gamma glutamyl transferase were also studied to
assess the utility in diagnosing the patients with neuroblastoma. The study involved 40 healthy ambulatory subjects and 30
untreated cases of histologically proved neuroblastoma referred to the Tata Memorial Hospital for further management and treatment.
The urinary Vanillyl Mandellic Acid levels and the serum levels of neuron specific enolase, ferritin, lactate dehydrogenase
had increased significantly, p<0.001 whereas the gamma glutamyl transferase had decreased significantly p<0.001, as compared
to the normal. Serum neuron specific enolase, ferritin, lactate dehydrogenase alongwith urinary Vanillyl Mandellic Acid could
be of help in diagnosing the patients with neuroblastoma. 相似文献

Mucopolysaccharidoses (MPS) are a group of genetic diseases and its diagnosis is a challenging task due to multiple differential diagnosis. We had combined clinical findings, radiological and ophthalmological features. Biochemical test for urine glycosaminoglycans (GAG) was done for confirmation of diagnosis in the patient. The case of Sanfilippo disease was characterized by slowly progressive, severe CNS involvement with mild somatic disease. Radiological features were suggestive of Sanfilippo disease and urine GAG test for MPS was positive in the case. With the clinical features we had multiple differential diagnoses. The radiological investigations minimized the list and the biochemical test confirmed GAG in urine. In this case the combination of clinical, radiological and biochemical findings confirmed the diagnosis of Sanfilippo disease. 相似文献

采用聚丙烯酰胺凝胶不连续垂直平板电泳技术对江苏种群橄榄蚶不同个体的苹果酸脱氢酶、苹果酸酶、醇脱氢酶、乳酸脱氢酶、淀粉酶、酯酶、超氧化物歧化酶和细胞色素氧化酶8种同工酶进行分析,得到基本图谱,并对其进行了生化遗传分析．共记录了21个基因座位、38个等位基因,其中有11个基因座位（Me-1、Adh-2、Adh-3、Ldh-1、Ldh-2、Amy-1、Amy-2、Est-2、Sod-2、Cod-1和Cod-2）为多态,多态座位比例（P）为0．5238,该比例接近一般海产无脊椎动物的多态座位比例,表明江苏种群橄榄蚶具有一定的遗传变异能力． 相似文献

Phytic acid (PA) is the primary storage compound of phosphorus in seeds accounting for up to 80% of the total seed phosphorus
and contributing as much as 1.5% to the seed dry weight. The negatively charged phosphate in PA strongly binds to metallic
cations of Ca, Fe, K, Mg, Mn and Zn making them insoluble and thus unavailable as nutritional factors. Phytate mainly accumulates
in protein storage vacuoles as globoids, predominantly located in the aleurone layer (wheat, barley and rice) or in the embryo
(maize). During germination, phytate is hydrolysed by endogenous phytase(s) and other phosphatases to release phosphate, inositol
and micronutrients to support the emerging seedling. PA and its derivatives are also implicated in RNA export, DNA repair,
signalling, endocytosis and cell vesicular trafficking. Our recent studies on purification of phytate globoids, their mineral
composition and dephytinization by wheat phytase will be discussed. Biochemical data for purified and characterized phytases
isolated from more than 23 plant species are presented, the dephosphorylation pathways of phytic acid by different classes
of phytases are compared, and the application of phytase in food and feed is discussed.

为了解运动员减体重过程中机能的变化规律,同时寻找减体重过程中评价机能变化的敏感指标.对11名浙江省散手、跆拳道、拳击优秀运动员在赛前不同减体重阶段的血液生化指标:血红蛋白(Hb)、血清肌酸激酶(CK)、血清尿素氮(BUN)、血清睾酮(T)、血清皮质醇(C)及血清T/C比值进行测定并比较分析,结果表明,在减体重过程中血清CK、BUN及T是监测运动员机能变化的较为敏感的指标. 相似文献
