Mobile TV is a representative product of media convergence. In South Korea, the diffusion of mobile TV has been in high gear, which provides an exemplary case study of mobile-TV adoption. The study examines the relation between the social influence, adopters' individual factors, and the adoption of the 2 different forms of mobile TV: terrestrial and satellite. Factor analysis identified 3 dimensions of social influences, defined respectively as “affiliation,” “positive self-display,” and “perceived popularity.” Results suggest that these 3 social influences differ in degree in relation to the adopters' demographic characteristics and innovativeness. Adoption of terrestrial or satellite mobile TV was predicted by social influence and, in particular, driven by the motivation to maintain a positive self-image. Because of the implications this may have on media management, the article calls for future research on the social construction of new media technology use to assess how individuals become susceptible to social influences and how social influences affect the diffusion of the technology.  相似文献

In this article, I describe the contours of global media networks in terms of interorganizational linkages and spatial distribution of foreign direct investment in the entertainment industry. The results of multidimensional scaling revealed that there were significant differences in the positional structures of global networks in the entertainment industry. However, in the case of the structural relations between the interorganizational and geographical dispersion networks, the quadratic assignment procedure analyses revealed structural similarities between both networks in the entertainment industry. A multiple regression analysis also showed music and film industries played a significant role in explaining interorganizational and geographical dispersion networks. The findings indicate the benefit of distinguishing between interorganizational and geographic dispersion networks in understanding global media networks.  相似文献

顾客在服务中扮演着越来越重要的角色,顾客参与的重要性日益受到关注。文章从顾客与酒店交互层面,构建顾客参与服务创新维度对顾客价值创造的整合模型。探讨顾客参与服务创新对顾客价值创造的影响。文章以星级酒店为背景,对270名有过星级入住酒店经历体验的人进行问卷调查,运用结构方程模型开展实证研究。结果表明顾客参与酒店服务创新的不同维度对顾客价值创造有着显著的影响,其中顾客参与广度、参与深度,参与强度对顾客功能价值、体验价值、象征价值有着正向影响,而对顾客价值成本付出有着负影响。  相似文献

In this study we examined procedures for assessing model-data fit of item response theory (IRT) models for mixed format data. The model fit indices used in this study include PARSCALE's G2 , Orlando and Thissen's SX2 and SG2 , and Stone's χ2* and G2* . To investigate the relative performance of the fit statistics at the item level, we conducted two simulation studies: Type I error and power studies. We evaluated the performance of the item fit indices for various conditions of test length, sample size, and IRT models. Among the competing measures, the summed score-based indices SX2 and SG2 were found to be the sensible and efficient choice for assessing model fit for mixed format data. These indices performed well, particularly with short tests. The pseudo-observed score indices, χ2* and G2* , showed inflated Type I error rates in some simulation conditions. Consistent with the findings of current literature, the PARSCALE's G2 index was rarely useful, although it provided reasonable results for long tests.  相似文献

In this article, we explore factors that influence the number of broadcasters in a market and the achievement of optimal outcomes in broadcast markets.We explore a range of barriers to entry and means of overcoming those barriers in broadcast markets.We argue that choices regarding and influences on barriers to entry and channel availability act as forms of competition management in broadcast markets. Policymakers and regulators indirectly influence markets by altering the effects of those barriers and directly influence market activities by making decisions regarding the number of competitors, market structures,and-indirectly-the financial performance of broadcasters. We argue that barriers to entry can be controlled to produce competition levels and market outcomes that promote optimal social and economic outcomes.  相似文献

采用实验比较法、测试法和数理统计法,分析了在健美操俱乐部训练与普通健美操课程对大学女生体质健康变化的影响程度。实验结果表明,健美操课程采用俱乐部模式,使课堂教学与课后锻炼相结合,运动次数与运动量持续连接,能明显降低大学女生的体脂率(BMI和WHR),保持良好的身体形态;能有效地改善女生的心肺功能、血脂含量,从而增强她们的体质健康。建议推广与加强大学女生体育俱乐部模式的健美操训练教育过程,改变大学女生身体锻炼不足的校园体育现状。  相似文献
