通过优秀IT工程师群体成长历程的分析,识别该群体成长历程中的关键阶段,对于优秀IT工程师的培养机制研究具有一定的意义。本研究拟采用质化研究方法,通过对相当数量的优秀IT工程师及我院毕业从事IT工程师职业毕业生成长历程的数据采集,探讨他们对自身经历的成长体验,采用专业化分析软件Nvivo10作为课题质化研究的分析工具,挖掘和分析优秀IT工程师的成长关键阶段,识别其成长关键阶段中的各阶段特质及完成职位升要素分析。  相似文献

本研究以对27位参与过国家重大工程项目——青藏铁路建设的优秀工程师进行深度访谈的资料为基础,借助于社会科学的质化研究工具,以主题分析和频率分析方法为主,努力在第一手数据的基础上探讨国家重大工程项目中优秀工程师的胜任力模型,进而分析了当前我国高等工程教育对工程师职前准备的优势和不足。我们认为,这些优秀工程师的有关见解及其本人丰富的成长经历极具本土意义和中国特色。研究这些访谈资料,对我国政府工程教育政策的实施、企业工程技术人力资源的开发、高校工程教育以及普通民众对工程师职业的认知来说都有重要的政策启示意义。  相似文献

This study focuses on the development of prospective computer engineers' knowledge of educational software design through their involvement in a constructivist learning environment emphasizing project based learning. Within this environment prospective computer engineers (PCE) adopted a variety of roles namely: learners, teachers, users, designers, implementers and evaluators of educational software dealing with concepts of computer science while also taking into account theoretical educational considerations regarding constructivism and social views of knowledge construction. The analysis of the data shows that PCE frequently start by considering traditional behavioristic views regarding teaching and learning as well as regarding the design of educational software. The PCE progressed to accept more constructivist views regarding teaching and learning as well as to designing educational software by communicating their knowledge with their colleagues and the teacher in the project based context. PCE also progressed through the evaluation of the educational software using real classrooms. By exploiting the given feedback, PCE improved the quality of software specifications.  相似文献

Continuing engineering education (CEE) is important to ensure engineers maintain proficiency over the life of their careers. However, relatively few studies have examined designing effective training for working engineers. Research has indicated that both learner instructional preferences and prior knowledge can impact the learning process, but it has not established if these factors are interrelated. The study reported here considered relationships of prior knowledge and three aspects of learning preferences of working engineers at a manufacturing company: learning strategy choices, verbal-visual cognitive styles, and multimedia preferences. Prior knowledge was not found to be significantly related to engineers’ learning preferences, indicating independence of effects of these variables on learning. The study also examined relationships of this finding to the Multimedia Cone of Abstraction and implications for its use as an instructional design tool for CEE.  相似文献

Conclusion The Canada-wide survey of women engineers has provided a wealth of detailed information about a still small, but rapidly growing, minority within the profession. A major source of satisfaction of these women is the interest and variety of the work they do and for which they are financially rewarded on the same scale as men. Few wives earn salaries equivalent to those of their husbands, but women engineers do. This fact may account at least in part for the egalitarian nature of their marriages. With two professional salaries coming into the household, it is possible to engage competent and reliable assistants. The proportion of women engineers who have household employees, either full-time or on a part-time basis, is many times greater than for Canadian women in general. The ability of women engineers to divide their time between family and profession seems to maximize the satisfaction they derive from each. Their use of continuing education to maintain continuity of professional interests during their short periods out of full-time employment as engineers shows careful planning and individual ingenuity. In spite of occasional instances of unfairness or perceived discrimination by an individual, women engineers report a high level of satisfaction with the profession they have chosen. Many wrote at length about why they would recommendit to other women who want an interesting, challenging, and rewarding career. They say that engineering is a great profession—especially for a woman!  相似文献

The roles of chemical engineers and environmental engineers in the post-socialist society are discussed. Details of the environmental education system at Tallinn Technical University and within its Chemical Engineering Faculty are presented. The importance of teaching the basics of ecology and environmental technology, as well as cleaner technology for chemical engineers are emphasized. The list of specialized courses for chemical engineers interested in environmental problems for undergraduate and postgraduate studies is given and the content of some more important courses characterized. The possible changes to the study plan in connection with transferring to a 4-year BSc curriculum are discussed. The importance of continuing environmental education and cooperation between different universities in the field of environmental education is emphasized.  相似文献

Engineering curricula have expanded in recent decades. In addition to science and technical engineering, they now include several non-technical competencies. This is a trend reinforced by programme accreditation. The authors take the viewpoint that it is important to ensure that graduates have the competencies they will require for their work. The following question is addressed: What are the generic competencies that engineers graduating in Australia require for their work as engineers?

Competencies were identified from a broad range of literature and then rated by 300 established engineers for importance to their jobs. The results indicated that non-technical, attitudinal and technical competencies were perceived to be important. Eleven competency factors were revealed empirically. Profiles of these competency factors among graduates would assist evaluation and improvement of engineering programmes. This is the first quantitative study conducted in Australia that encompassed all engineering disciplines and focused on established engineers rather than recent graduates.  相似文献
