[目的/意义] 学术谱系是科学家成长的摇篮,可以反映学科的形成与发展过程。研究以科学家学术谱系为研究对象,运用计量学方法,建立评价学术谱系的计量指标,并建构学术谱系树模型。[方法/过程] 提出评价科学家学术谱系的计量指标,包括学术谱系的繁衍能力、学术谱系的影响力和学缘关系;在实证方面,以武汉大学马费成教授的学术谱系为例,从3个维度对其学术谱系进行评价。[结果/结论] 研究结果表明,利用研究构建的学术谱系评价指标,可以对科学家的学术谱系进行量化分析,从而揭示学科的繁衍与发展。学术谱系树模型的建立能够更好地对学术谱系的计量指标进行解释与可视化呈现。  相似文献

[目的/意义]知识图谱对于重构数字人文资源、促进资源共享重用和深度开发具有重要意义。通过协作智能充分结合人类智慧和机器智能,有助于实现高效、优质的知识图谱构建。[方法/过程]提出基于协作智能构建数字人文领域知识图谱的PDC工作模式,结合数字人文领域知识图谱构建中的核心任务,分析人与AI的分工与协作,并总结在这一过程中协作智能逐渐由人类主导转向AI主导的趋势。[结果/结论]进一步展示基于协作智能的家谱知识图谱构建的可行性和有效性,重点探索家谱知识抽取中的协作智能,并通过定性和定量的评价展示协作智能的优势。协作智能不仅是未来数字人文知识图谱构建的发展趋势,对于其他领域的数字资源组织和知识图谱构建的实践亦具有一定的参考价值。  相似文献

文章在简要综述知识基因、知识单元、知识表示和知识图谱的基础上,探讨知识的质性构造和量化分析基础,指出知识具有表型(外型)、构型(内型)和量型(量值)三型特征。用逻辑分析法从现象到本质揭示知识表型特征,包括语言文字型、公式符号型和图表图谱型;知识构型可用学科类别和特征概念标识;知识量型可基于数据或信息计算知识量。进一步提出用知识花图式和知识花程式展示质性知识构造与量化知识分析。由知识三型特征引出知识变换三假设以及学术评价"对标法";揭示质性知识构造适合解析静态知识特征,量化知识分析可延伸处理动态知识演化。质性知识构造与量化知识分析同时适用于剖析知识客体和知识主体,并独具学术评价应用价值。倡导通过知识分析创新图书情报学,同时也通过图书情报学促进知识之花盛开。  相似文献

Mentoring, an established practice in many disciplines, provides benefits to both individuals and organizations. Academic libraries recognize the usefulness of mentoring, and many provide such programs within their organization, ranging from formal one-on-one pairings to mentoring groups. Although literature describing a variety of mentoring systems is available, the role of personal and collective narrative in transferring knowledge within mentoring situations is not well known. This article examines the intentional use of narrative in mentoring new academic librarians in a peer group setting. Discussion suggests group mentoring based on narrative is an effective and efficient alternative to traditional mentoring.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

This article offers statistical information about the future of our profession and the role that mentoring may play in retaining and promoting academic librarians into leadership positions within an organization. An overview of the history and definition of the word mentor and current terminology is offered to provide the reader with understanding of the complexity surrounding the concept of mentoring. Mentoring as process is explained, and both formal and informal mentoring processes are discussed and examples provided. The benefits of mentoring are detailed and include the benefits for mentors, mentees, and academic libraries, with a special focus on minorities and generational considerations now prevalent in libraries. Qualitative methodologies are examined to determine relationships, and the methods used include interviews, questionnaires, and print and online surveys. Case studies from across the nation are analyzed and offered as evidence that mentoring does in fact work well in many academic libraries, but librarians should be mindful that these mentoring processes must be evaluated periodically to remain viable. A brief discussion and future considerations section offer helpful information on gaps in the literature and the challenges that academic libraries face as they create and implement mentoring processes in their respective academic organizations.  相似文献

In academia researchers join a research community over time and contribute to the advancement of a field in a variety of ways. One of the most established ways to contribute to the field is by passing on knowledge to the future generations through academic advising. Many academic scholars have more influence, while others fail to make an impact. Typically, academic influence refers to the ability of a researcher to pass on her/his “academic gene” in future researchers. In this article, we propose the task of Researcher Influence Prediction (ResIP) to predict researchers’ future influence in an academic field through the analysis of the corresponding academic genealogy network. Researcher influence prediction has got several implications as far as different academic outcomes are concerned (e.g. funding, awards, career progression, collaboration, identifying prolific researchers etc.).To address the ResIP, a number of end-to-end deep learning architectures have been proposed in the current work. The proposed architectures take as input the lineage graph of a researcher at a given time point and predicts the growth of his/her family in future time points. The design of encoder in the proposed architecture considers both temporal and structural information of the input lineage graph while the decoders are tuned towards the nature of the output (single point vs. sequence). The proposed models have been trained, validated and compared with strong baselines using datasets created out of a subset of researchers from the Mathematics Genealogy Project (MGP).  相似文献

A team of academics from RMIT School of Business Information Technology were involved in delivering LIS training to staff at Can Tho University in Viet Nam who were to work in a newly developed Learning Resource Centre (LRC). The training materials were written in English and then translated into Vietnamese. RMIT staff then delivered the training face-to-face through interpreters. This paper records a narrative of the interaction between academics, students, translators, and interpreters. This narrative examines development, limitations, and successes of cross-cultural teaching and learning and offers a commentary from the point of view of academic participants in this project, particularly about the developing relationships between academics, translators, and interpreters. Examination of the impact includes some preliminary evaluation of the nature of the teaching experience and the development of culturally inclusive strategies and material.  相似文献

由论文的关键词及其共现关系构成的共词网络是一类特殊的科学知识网络,代表了科学认知结构.本文利用中国管理科学领域的5种核心期刊的关键词数据研究了共词网络的复杂结构.统计表明共词网络内存在明显的小世界和无标度现象.借助复杂网络绘图软件GUESS,本文绘制了大规模共词网络的拓扑结构图,发现该网络由一个大型的主连通区块和很多孤立的小连通区块组成.借助四个新的信息计量学指标,本文还统计分析了关键词及其共现关系的增长规律,首次从关键词使用的角度定量地证明了科学发展具有创新性和递进性,已有的科学概念是新科学命题产生的知识基础.  相似文献

学术文献特征表示,是学术文献搜索、分类组织、个性化推荐等学术大数据服务的关键步骤。研究表明,图神经网络能够有效学习文献的特征表示,然而当前研究主要集中在有监督学习方法上,不仅对数据集的大小和质量的要求较高,且学习到的文献特征表示与具体任务高度耦合。基于此,本文将四种无监督图神经网络方法引入学术文献表示学习,从Cora、CiteSeer和DBLP (database systems and logic programming)数据集的引文网络、共被引网络和文献耦合网络中学习文献的表示向量,并应用于文献分类和论文推荐两大下游任务。研究结果表明,(1)深度互信息图神经网络适合于文献分类任务,对抗正则化变分图自编码器则在论文推荐任务上性能更佳;(2)Cora数据集上的结果表明,相较于共被引和文献耦合网络,引文网络更适合于学习通用的文献表示向量。  相似文献

Transformational leaders use the “Four Is” - individualized consideration, idealized influence, inspirational motivation, and intellectual stimulation - to excite, challenge, and build deep relationships in an organization. This study investigated the benefits of transformational leaders, and how they impact the lives of academic librarians. Interviews with three academic librarians who worked with transformational leaders revealed the interviewees valued the mentoring, visioning, and generosity those leaders provided. The overarching theme of three participants' stories was the personal relationships these transformational leaders were able to build and the lasting impact those relationships had on the participants' careers.  相似文献

Academic mentorship is a professional development strategy that enables fledgling professionals to take advantage of the skills and expertise of the senior members for professional growth. Although widely practiced in many other professions, academic mentorship has not been widely reported in medical librarianship. Drawing upon personal experience, the author reports the success story of an academic mentorship program implemented in an academic medical library and argues for academic mentorship to be widely adopted in academic medical libraries. This paper first reviews the literature on the concept of mentoring in an academic setting, and then describes the background, rationale, methods, and results of the mentorship programs the author has experienced. Lastly, based upon an analysis of several surveys and studies on coping skills for quality job performance of health sciences reference librarians, the paper discusses mentorship as one effective means to ease a new medical reference librarian's transition from his/her pre-service experience to the professional world of medical librarianship. It calls on other health sciences librarians to consider developing their own mentorship programs to promote their professional development and personal growth.  相似文献

学术评价永远都带有一定的社会功利性特征,原创性学术研究道路也必然与之相伴随。学术评价具有两面性、不确定性,必须相对性地加以消解,否则长期禁锢于学术评价指标或标准,原创性将受到极大的阻滞。当前学术环境中,尤其要研究如何和善于对学术评价进行自我消解。可以通过八个方面为一体的模式塑造学术雄心,原创性学术研究方法纵然由于各个学科专业的不同历史发展内涵和研究手段而呈现气象万千的景象,学术雄心却始终是支撑原创性学术研究的根本。  相似文献

随着电子文件单轨制的落实和电子文件数据化进程的开始,电子文件知识服务正受到越来越多的关注。电子文件知识图谱,既是电子文件数据化的一种方式,又是电子文件知识服务的技术与资源基础。电子文件不同于一般的信息资源,它除了包含文件内容,还涉及与之相关的组织结构、业务逻辑等背景信息。受电子文件特性的影响,电子文件知识图谱不同于一般的领域知识图谱:在构建路径方面,电子文件的背景与结构信息,包括来源机构信息、业务流程信息和职能分类信息和版本变化信息等的知识化,将贯穿电子文件知识图谱构建过程中的多个节点;在知识服务方面,不同于一般的领域知识图谱,电子文件知识图谱能够提供面向业务活动的知识服务,其利用形态会更加丰富。结合现阶段各领域知识图谱的表现,电子文件知识图谱将会是电子文件开发利用的重要方式,是实现电子文件知识服务的重要途径,是电子文件管理事业进一步向决策端转型的重要推手。  相似文献

Abstract

Academic librarians new to the profession, or seasoned with mid-career changes, have questions and challenges as they progress in their professional careers. Often, librarians need answers and guidance beyond a supervisor and may seek help from their peers. These mentor-mentee relationships can happen either informally or formally, within their home library, or across the profession. Many academic libraries have mentorship programs in place, but mentorship is not a standardized practice and seldom is a one-size-fits-all program. The library and information science (LIS) literature contain articles that describe and analyze the value of these mentorship programs from a variety of interesting angles.  相似文献
