Suitability of school textbooks for 5 to 7 year old children with colour vision deficiencies

Purpose

The aim of the present study was to determine, through colorimetric analysis, whether school textbooks for children aged 5 to 7 years contained tasks requiring normal colour vision discrimination for their resolution. In addition, the performance of a group of observers with diverse colour vision deficiencies was evaluated while conducting the tasks under analysis.

Results

Textbooks of mathematics were found to include 10% of tasks which, to an observer with colour vision deficiency, would be very difficult or impossible to solve. The level of difficulty of each task was influenced by the type and degree of colour vision deficiency and by the actual ambient illumination under which it was observed.

Conclusions

Some school textbooks need to be redesigned through an alternative use of colours and textures to take into consideration colour vision deficiencies. In view of the present findings, many Spanish editorial boards have committed to undertake these changes.  相似文献   

黄丕烈对宋人词籍的收藏与整理

黄丕烈受乾嘉学风影响,藏、校了数十种宋人词籍,其中不仅有像宋刻《详注周美成词片玉集》这样的珍本秘册,还有许多重本与残本,为其校雠、补缺奠定了基础。黄丕烈以丰富的经验和科学的方法对词籍的版本形态、源流情况等作出了精审鉴定和深入研究,并一一记录在题识当中。在校勘上,他以对校为主,不惮复校;若遇歧异,则只列不改,以存真面;他还请顾千里等高手,博采众家之长。黄丕烈对词人生平、词籍名称甚至是抄者史迹多有考订,遇无法解决者,便开列阙疑,以俟来者。黄丕烈的词籍整理活动对宋词在清代的传播以及宋词版本学、校勘学在清末成为词学研究的重要分支,起到了至关重要的作用。  相似文献

基于蚁群算法的最小电路测试集生成算法

为了提高电路故障的测试速度和精度．在现有的传统故障测试集生成算法的基础上,引入蚁群生物的路径规划策略,设计一种基于蚁群算法的电路故障最小测试集生成算法。详细阐述蚁群算法的设计思想,给出数字电路测试问题向蚁群规划问题的转换过程,包括基于蚁群算法的最小测试集生成流程。并对设计的电路故障最小测试集生成算法进行了理论上的性能分析和实际的测试验证,测试结果表明该算法具有较高的综合效率。  相似文献

根据相平衡等的有关计算可知，常压下CO2溶于水的过程为物理吸收，CO2的饱和水溶液为稀溶液，而且溶液里碳酸的生成和电离可以忽略不计。CO2在水中的扩散系数非常小，其数量级为10^-5cm^2／s，在CO2排水集气法操作中，CO2气体不被水吸收。  相似文献   

普通教育机构内低幼儿童语言障碍情况的调查报告

本研究采用分层抽样法，在江苏省南京地区调查了年龄为4～9岁的112O名儿童。结果分析中我们看到，在这些普教机构中，儿童语言障碍的平均发生率是4．02％；学龄前儿童语言障碍发生率略高于学龄儿童；其中男童的比率明显高于女童，前者4．93％，后者2．93％。同时发现，尽管学科教师普遍赞同对语言障碍儿童进行各种特殊治疗，但这些儿童仅有17．8％接受过语言矫治。因此我们呼吁，全社会都来关注语言障碍儿童的研究，并期待一完整的特殊教育体系，满足语言障碍儿童需要。  相似文献   

Does the “Pupil Enterprise Programme” Influence Grades Among Pupils With Special Needs?

This paper asks whether the Pupil Enterprise Programme (PEP) is a suitable working method for improving academic performance among pupils with special needs. Overall, 20% of pupils participate in PEP at some point during lower secondary school. Results from multilevel regression modelling indicate that pupils with special needs who have participated in PEP attain better grades in Written Norwegian and Mathematics than those pupils with special needs who did not participate in PEP. The difference between PEP participants and non-participants in Written English was insignificant. The positive results for Norwegian and Mathematics seem to be related to the organisation and content of PEP. The data are from a study of 1,880 pupils in the 10th Grade.  相似文献

现存唐代人编选唐诗的资料共13种,<搜玉小集>是其中的一种.从所选诗人的生活年代看,大致可推定此集的编选年代最晚不晚于天宝末年.这个集子选编的主要是初唐诗,所选诗歌从题材上可分为奉和应制诗、边塞诗、闺怨诗、述怀诗、岁时应景诗等;其中近体诗36首,古体诗25首;伤感、愁苦、哀婉是主调,劲健、清新、欢快是辅调.<搜玉小集>选录了不少初唐诗坛的优秀诗作,对于我们今天研究初唐诗有一定的价值.  相似文献   

Sustaining and retaining beginning special educators: It takes a village

The need to support and retain beginning teachers has become critical given: (1) the shortage of teachers in certain disciplines, and (2) the current emphasis on teacher qualifications and student achievement. In this study, five first year special education teachers in the southwestern section of the United States provided information on the persons and activities that supplied them with much needed and valued support. The results indicate that having a strong network of support and a variety of resources positively influenced these teachers’ ability to focus on student learning and on their intent to remain in their positions.  相似文献
