Archivists in North America have described, discussed, and debated the necessary and optimal content, configuration, and venue
for archival education for close to a century but have given little consideration to integrating technology within archival
curricula. Increasingly, archivists are faced with a high tech world in which they must understand issues including information
systems, the nature of electronic records and databases, record migration, digitization, and web design and creation for provision
of access. This paper explores the nature and extent of information technology and information science coursework and knowledge
discussed in the Society of American Archivists’ Guidelines for a Graduate Program in Archival Studies and that students have
available to them while in archival programs. It concludes with a proposal for Library and Information Science education programs
that prepare archivists to explore developing Certificate of Advanced Studies programs in archival management on top of master’s
degrees to allow for additional information science coursework. 相似文献

“十三五”期间,我国档案学科在学科建设、人才培养、学术研究、服务社会、国际交流与合作等方面取得了长足进展,推出了丰富的研究成果,获得了新的更大的发展空间。但在档案学原创性基础理论研究、档案学研究平台、团队与基础设施建设方面仍较薄弱,学科影响力尚需进一步提升。“十四五”期间,我国档案学科仍将关注人文、管理和技术三大研究取向,更注重这三者的交叉与融合,重点对文件档案管理数字转型、档案记忆理论与数字记忆、档案与数字人文、档案社会化趋向与文件档案管理理论创新、文件档案治理、古文书与档案事业发展史、文献遗产保护与修复及档案学专业教育改革与发展等领域开展研究,开创开放、多元、创新的学科新局面。 相似文献

[目的/意义] 立足国家科技信息资源管理的整体效益,以增强国家科技信息资源综合治理能力为目标,调查科学数据与科研档案管理协同的发展现状,探索相关推进策略。[方法/过程] 综合运用实地调查法、网络调查法、文献研究法、比较研究法和行动研究法,收集中、美、英、澳4个国家的科技主管部门、档案主管部门、科研资助机构、科研机构、科学数据管理机构、档案机构及相关国际组织的相关政策文本和实践材料,展开内容分析和后续研究。[结果/结论] 在政策层面,科学数据管理政策中与档案相关的规定集中体现在将档案馆视作存储基础设施及将归档视为科学数据管理活动;科研档案管理政策中与科学数据相关的规定集中体现在承认科学数据的档案属性,并将其纳入归档范围;科研资助机构的政策要求明确科学数据的归档和保存问题。在实践层面,国外在组织、政策、业务、服务等方面形成相对丰富的协同实践,国内的协同实践则刚刚起步。最后,从体制机制、政策体系、协作模式、业务融合、服务支撑、人才培养等方面提出推进管理协同的发展建议。 相似文献

The Future Voices in Public Services column is a forum for students in graduate library and information science programs to discuss key issues they see in academic library public services, to envision what they feel librarians in public service have to offer to academia, to tell us of their visions for the profession, or to tell us of research that is going on in library schools. We hope to provide fresh perspectives from those entering our field, in both the United States and other countries. Marissa K. Mason is an MSIS student specializing in archives and records management at the University at Albany's Department of Information Studies. In this essay, she discusses the opportunities and challenges of using various social media for promotional outreach of archives and special collections. The University at Albany's Department of Information Studies, part of the College of Computing and Information, offers a broad-based Master of Science in Information Science degree accredited by the American Library Association. The program has concentrations in library and information services, archives and records administration, school library media, information management and policy, and information systems and technology. Students learn how information is created, organized, represented, stored, accessed, retrieved, managed and used. In addition, they investigate the uses and impacts of information and technology on individuals, organizations and society, including formal and informal communities, libraries, government, and business. A required internship course helps ensure that the program's graduates are ready to enter the world of information professionals. [目的/意义]梳理和分析我国档案学研究热点与前沿问题,为档案学学科体系建设和档案学理论研究提供参考与借鉴,为档案实践工作的发展与变革提供洞见与支持。[研究设计/方法]以我国档案学领域2015—2019年间在《档案学通讯》《档案学研究》上刊载的所有论文、出台的重要政策、举办的重要学术会议、立项的国家课题为样本,运用文献计量方法和文本分析法对其进行梳理与分析,以此得出我国档案学研究热点与前沿问题,并对其进行阐释和说明。[结论/发现]中国档案学研究热点与前沿问题包括:档案学研究、档案馆与数字档案馆、新一代数字和网络信息技术与档案工作、电子文件管理、档案资源体系与服务体系建设、档案文献整理与研究、档案文献遗产保护与非遗档案管理、档案职业、档案与记忆、数字人文与档案、档案治理、档案管理体制改革。[创新/价值]梳理和分析了中国档案学研究热点和前沿问题。 相似文献

The Department of Library Studies at Kenyatta University in Nairobi, Kenya has for some time now been reviewing its curriculum, for the purposes of meeting the requirements and needs of a twenty-first century global, networked society and to meet the country's information needs. To achieve this, the University has been working on approximately 10 different programs from certificate to masters in both library and information science and archives administration/records management. This paper analyzes the process involved in this undertaking and critically examines the underlying assumptions embedded in the exercise. It discusses problems encountered, solutions devised, and the products derived from the curriculum review. The paper is a collaborative effort between a faculty member based in Kenya and one based in the United States. 相似文献

In the Scandinavian countries, archival education and training are provided by a great number of actors. There are no traditional
archives schools in the sense of the école de chartes but all the other forms of education and training are available. Archival
science has a strong presence in universities especially in Sweden, Finland and Norway. A typically Scandinavian characteristic
is the prominent role of the National Archives Services as providers of archival education and training. In Finland the National
Archives Service has two comprehensive programmes, resulting in formal degrees, for people working in archival duties in the
administration or in the private sector. Another markedly Scandinavian characteristic is that records management has a prominent
role in educational and training programmes. Also archival associations and foundations are mong the actors in the field of
education and training in Scandinavia. The Norwegian “Arkivakademiet” and the Finnish Association of Business Archivists are

[目的/意义]国家基金资助项目是我国人文社会科学各学科资助项目的主体,对“十三五”期间图书馆.情报与文献学(含档案学)学科基金项目的分析有助于掌握近5年该学科的发展。[方法/过程]以社科基金项目为研究对象,从立项数量、立项地域分布、优秀结项数量、奖项数量、研究主题分布等方面对基金项目相关内容进行可视化分析。[结果/结论]在“十三五”期间,基金项目数量和结项质量都在稳步提高,项目所获奖项数量较“十一五”和“十二五”有所增加。图情档基金项目的研究热点主要体现了传统研究领域与信息技术的结合,包括数字图书馆、智慧服务、数字化建设、社交媒体与互联网信息技术、档案学数字人文研究、古籍文献的整理利用等研究。基金项目的研究趋势体现在大数据背景下图情档学科与数字化、智能化的紧密结合;在知识融合背景下,健康医疗、医学信息的研究体现了图情档与医学领域的交叉融合。 相似文献

为了明确拓宽专业与学科融合之间的区别和联系,探讨图书情报与档案管理的学科融合之路,本文通过对MLIS (Master of Library and Information Studies,图书情报硕士专业学位)现状的统计分析,阐述了MLIS拓宽专业的特点,引出并重点探讨了图书情报与档案管理的学科融合问题。本文认为,图书情报与档案管理的学科融合主要不是指图书馆学、情报学和档案学之间的融合,而是指图书情报与档案管理跟其他一级学科或学科门类的融合;在学科融合过程中,应当注重形成新的学科增长点和分支学科。 相似文献

敦煌莫高窟是属于世界性的文化遗产,有着极为丰富而独特的资源。在数字时代,文化遗产数字化是信息化时代的必然发展方向。数字网络技术、信息技术在对莫高窟文化遗产进行有效的保护、对石窟文物信息进行永久性的存储等方面发挥了重要的作用。同时,对这些文化遗产资源进行科学有效的组织和管理,目前主要采取对外合作方式：与美国梅隆基金会实施“国际敦煌档案”,与大英图书馆等多家单位进行“国际敦煌项目（IDP）”,并建立“敦煌数字图像数据库”等,都为未来实施的“数字敦煌”奠定基础。落实数字敦煌的过程便是应用现代数字信息技术改进传统管理方法,增强对石窟壁画的保护研究和改进敦煌学研究工作形式的一项技术革新的实践,对于推动莫高窟遗址的管理保护和国际敦煌学的研究将发挥重大的作用。 相似文献
