Recommender systems can be a powerful tool for digital libraries if they implement the systems right to information seekers. While patrons have shown an increased interest in recommender systems, digital libraries ought to offer personalized services and assist users both novice and experienced with more sophisticate information retrieval technologies. By guiding users to timely, accurate, and suitable resources within the library the recommender system could take the place of the reference librarian of the bricks and mortar library to enhance the digital libraries services.  相似文献

Borrowing From e-commerce; Are Recommender Systems Good for Libraries? For past 10 years recommender systems have attempted to match customers to materials in the e-commerce world. Utilizing specifically designed recommender systems to meet the needs of patrons, collaborative filtering, and content-based recommender systems are the two basic types with several hybrids created from these two have been significantly enhancing digital library services. Security issues come into play in a special way with libraries, and plagiarism can also affect recommender quality. Open Source tools may be the answer for libraries and their customers, enabling a better utilization of all that a library has to offer.  相似文献

Traditional Information Retrieval (IR) systems have limitations in improving search performance in today’s information environment. The high recall and poor precision of traditional IR systems are only as good as with the accuracy of search query, which is, however, usually difficult for the user to construct. It is also time-consuming for the user to evaluate each search result. The recommendation techniques having been developed since the early 1990s help solve the problems that traditional IR systems have. This paper explains the basic process and major elements of document recommender systems, especially the two recommendation techniques of content-based filtering and collaborative filtering. Also discussed are the evaluation issue and the problems that current document recommender systems are facing, which need to be taken into account in future system designs. The major content of the study of library users is the study of their psychology. Readers emotion is subject to the library s environment, the quality and quantity of the documents and the emotion of the readers themselves as well. The realization of color conversions in accordance with the ICC technology is the basis of quality management in modern desktop publishing systems. An important point is that the result depends on the specific technological process, therefore the fine adjustment of the control systemis required. For such a multi-step process as flexographic printing is the reprofiling a complicated, labour-intensive and long procedure. The systems based on the ICC profiling, have several restrictions on use in flexographic printing. These restrictions are concerned mainly with the technologies of platemaking and printing processes, as well as with the usability of arbitrary quantity of printing inks, their combinations and with the need for color separation using in the autotype color synthesis of additive inks.    相似文献

Due to the rapid development of visualization tools and technologies, the image information plays in the life of society a more and more large role in the course of time. There are widespread different image search and display systems which develop and could be integrated in various information systems. Long ago, many sections had been separated from the fundamental sphere of image information processing as independent directions with specific scientific objectives, such as computer graphics, computer vision, digital photography and others. The tendency to separation of new directions intended for different problems solving persists still, what is confirmed by the enormous annual number of publications. A wide variety of software products can meet the needs practically of any specific problem. But in present variety of image information processing it is possible to separate some general tendencies and some main central problems, which solving determines the image quality and the information systems operation evaluated by ultimate consumer.    相似文献

Controlled Digital Lending(CDL) is a new model by which libraries digitize materials in their collection and make them available for controlled lending. CDL was initially introduced 10 years ago and has been developed quickly after 2020. This paper sorts out the concept and development of CDL, and divides the process of CDL into embryonic stage(2011-2017), exploratory stage(2018-2019) and development stage (2020 to present). In the embryonic stage, although there were related research and attempts, the specific concept of CDL had not been formed and the practice was not enough. In the exploratory stage, the concept and core principles of CDL had been defined and received plenty of attention in the American library community. During the development stage, the COVID-19 pandemic has brought opportunities for CDL to globalize, and CDL is supported by the library circle around the world. This paper analyzes the feasibility of CDL according to the relevant laws and regulations in the United States, Europe and the international community. In the United States, CDL is mainly based on the principle of first sale doctrine and fair use; in Europe, CDL is mainly related to relevant directives and copyright restrictions and exceptions; among the international community, CDL basically complies with the relevant provisions of the three-step test. This paper summarizes the status quo and specific operation mode of CDL practice abroad, in the hope of providing suggestions for the specific practice of CDL in Chinese university libraries. The authors sort out the official website documents of well-known foreign library organizations and CDL tool development institutions, summarize foreign practical cases of CDL, and analyze related application cases in foreign university libraries and CDL tool. This paper discusses the legal possibility of implementing CDL in China. A further review of relevant domestic laws has found that, although the Copyright Law of the People’s Republic of China only stipulates 12 acts that can use works without permission and remuneration, the court can still determine that the mode of CDL constitutes fair use based on the general provisions of the fair use in dealing with cases related to CDL. Lastly, this paper points out that China’s libraries, especially university libraries, shall limit the books types, reasonably apply CDL tools, actively cooperate with publisher, and build the platform of digital lending resources sharing to promote the digital services transformation of physical library in CDL way. 38 refs. © 2023, Editorial Office of Journal of Library Science in China. [目的/意义]调研推荐系统在高校图书馆中的应用现状及存在的问题,为增强图书馆对知识信息的智能处理能力提供参考依据。[方法/过程]通过对国内116所"211工程"院校进行网站访查和问卷调查,用定量分析与定性分析相结合等方法,对调查结果进行归类、分类统计和对比分析。[结果/结论]研究发现,受访高校图书馆均提供非个性化推荐服务,63%受访高校提供个性化推荐服务;推荐服务内容丰富、方式多样、形式各异,79%的高校积极寻求与其他平台的合作,拓宽推荐深度和广度。存在的问题包括:图书馆推荐系统个性化程度不高,过于依赖图书管理集成系统所附带的推荐功能,不够系统化、智慧化;推荐系统满意度有待提高,有相当多的用户担心推荐系统会泄露个人隐私。  相似文献

文献推荐系统帮助用户在海量文献环境下发现个性化的信息,已经成为文献检索系统的重要组成部分。文献推荐技术研究在信息检索、文献计量学与电子商务推荐系统研究成果综合演变下发展起来。首先讨论了一般个性化推荐技术;进一步对文献推荐技术已经取得的研究成果进行了系统的分析与总结;同时,介于评价测度与方法是推荐系统的重要组成部分,给出了常用的文献推荐系统的评价测度;最后,对文献推荐系统研究现状作出总体评价并指出将来的发展方向。  相似文献

[目的/意义]科研社交网络与大众社交网络一样存在信息过载问题,利用推荐系统向科研人员推送个性化信息是解决该问题的重要手段。通过与国外主流科研社交网络相比较,找出我国科研社交网络的推荐系统存在的问题,进而寻求解决之道。[方法/过程]从推荐项目、推荐策略、冷启动方案、用户偏好学习4个方面,对科研之友、学者网、ResearchGate、Academia这4个科研社交网络的推荐系统进行对比。[结果/结论]我国科研社交网络的推荐系统在上述4个方面都与国外同行存在明显的差距,存在推荐项目较少、推荐策略单一、冷启动效果差、用户偏好学习能力弱等问题。针对这些问题,提出改进建议。  相似文献

[目的/意义]推荐系统已经成为电子商务网站的重要组成部分之一,为用户提供多种形式的信息推荐服务。国内以淘宝、京东和亚马逊为代表的电子商务网站的推荐系统采用不同的技术架构和多种热点推荐技术,并且越来越重视信息服务的质量。对推荐系统服务质量进行比较研究,能够进一步推动电子商务推荐系统的发展。[方法/过程]首先,从准确性、时效性、新颖性三个技术指标对比以上推荐系统的技术架构对于推荐服务质量的影响;其次,以用户体验作为信息服务质量评价的基础,对182名受访者进行热点技术的认可度调查,研究热点技术对推荐服务质量的影响;最后,对功能模块的用户体验情况进行调查和比较分析。[结果/结论]在这些研究、调查和分析的基础上,给出电子商务推荐系统使用的技术架构和热点技术,以及改进功能模块设计的对策,以进一步提升推荐系统的信息服务质量。  相似文献

协同过滤是推荐系统中广泛使用的最成功的推荐技术,但是随着系统中用户数目和商品数目的不断增加,整个商品空间上的用户评分数据极端稀疏,传统协同过滤算法的最近邻搜寻方式存在很大不足,导致推荐质量急剧下降。针对这一问题,本文提出了一种基于项类偏好的协同过滤推荐算法。首先为目标用户找出一组项类偏好一致的候选邻居,候选邻居与目标用户兴趣相近,共同评分较多,在候选邻居中搜寻最近邻,可以排除共同评分较少用户的干扰,从整体上提高最近邻搜寻的准确性。实验结果表明,该算法能有效提高推荐质量。  相似文献

在描述移动电子商务推荐系统的基本特征基础上,分析了显式评分输入和隐式浏览输入的差异, 认为移动互联网环境下隐式浏览输入是推荐输入的主流。进而通过用户兴趣提取、用户兴趣计算以及浏 览时间确定等环节,得到移动环境下用户对产品的兴趣度。该方法的提出一方面充实了移动推荐系统的 理论研究成果,另一方面也对推荐系统中隐式浏览输入的研究有一定的推动作用。  相似文献
